Which file to pick
Pinterest makes each video in several files, in 2 formats. On the video pins I checked on September 26, 2026, they were:

HEVC keeps the same picture in a smaller file. iPhones, Macs and Android phones play it; some Windows players need an extra codec.
Idea pins
An idea pin can hold several pages of videos and photos. The tool shows every page in a grid, numbered in order.
Save them 1 by 1, or press Download all (ZIP) to get every page at once.
Downloading on iPhone and Android
On a phone, press Download and the video saves to your downloads: the Files app on an iPhone, the Downloads folder on Android.
Where your phone supports it, tap Share or save once to get the file, then again to open the share sheet. An iPhone offers Save Video there, which puts it in Photos.
Why some pins won't download
- The board is secret. Only its owner and the people they invite can see it.
- The pin was removed. A link to a deleted pin leads nowhere.
- Pinterest asked us to slow down. Try again in a minute.
