On this page I share my entire entrepreneurial timeline and journey from the beginning till now.
This is my journey to inspiring and helping millions: one person at a time!
It’s been one hell of an entrepreneurial journey so far: from feeling lost and facing massive adversity, to making millions of dollars from my online businesses over the years. And recently selling part of my business to completely refocus and “start over”.
As time goes on, I’ll keep this entrepreneurial timeline page updated so you can follow along my journey in case you’re interested to see the progress over time.
You can also read more over on my about page or check out my blog for valuable articles.

2010
After 4 years in law school, I started to get frustrated and bored. That’s when I started my self-development journey.
I started to meet more like-minded people in Stockholm where I lived at the time, traveled to London to attend conferences and seminars.
2011
Continued my entrepreneurial journey and got more and more into it.
Read books like Think and Grow Rich and How to Win Friends and Influence People. Went to more meetups and connected with more people who were living amazing lives traveling the world (I still didn’t know how I could do it myself though).
2012
May
Got the initial bug to start a lifestyle business and become a digital nomad (I got interested in personal development a few years earlier, around 2010.)
June
Took a part-time bank job to pay the bills.
Hired my first mentor, marking the first time I ever invest in myself. (We’re still good friends today!)
October
Jumped from one idea to another with no clear direction or path… procrastinated a lot to say the least.
December
Still a law school student — on paper, at least (not going to class much… if at all!)
2013
January
Got the idea to start a fitness website to go along with my huge dedication to living a healthy and fit lifestyle.
March
On the verge of launching the fitness website and blog when my world turns upside-down…
April
On April 4th, 2013 I received the worst phone call of my life – my mom told me my younger brother had suddenly passed away, at only 22 years old.
It was the absolute worst thing that has ever happened to me — personally or professionally.
It was also the big turning point that changed everything.
May
My brother’s funeral took place on May 10th, 2013. I was devastated and couldn’t hold the tears back – very unlike me.
At that moment, I committed myself to create an extraordinary life — no matter how long it took. The “haters” and “doubters” didn’t matter anymore. The only thing I focused on was my big dreams and goals.
I dropped the fitness website idea and instead decided to start documenting my entrepreneurial journey on a blog. I was very determined, but I had no experience or connections in my industry (yet).
Joined Internet Business Mastery Academy — my first online course — and met Jan Koch, and many other entrepreneurs who soon became part of my growing network.
June
Launched my website and blog at NavidMoazzez.com (now navidm.com) with the goal of sharing my story as well as interviews with online influencers and successful entrepreneurs.
My first interview and blog post went live — an interview with Pat Flynn
July
Made my first sale online through an affiliate sale (promoting someone else’s product). I believe I made $65 in affiliate commission!
September
Published my first epic round-up post listing my favorite podcasts (at the time) and had my first decent traffic spike (it has since been updated to a much more in-depth article).
October
Participated in Natalie Sisson’s 30-day blog challenge and wrote 45K words in less than a month. This helped me to my voice and become much more comfortable writing in a conversational manner as a non-native English speaker.
Learned that if I want to get better at something, I just needed to do more of it. By writing every day as I reworked my interviews with experts into epic blog posts and guides, I became a much better writer.
November
Met my awesome designer, Gion-Per (Beecoding), and decided it was time to significantly invest in my website — even though I didn’t really have the money at the time. It paid off in a big way over time!
December
Published another epic expert round-up post on guest blogging tips that raised the bar on my network and outreach (Ramit Sethi, etc.)
Published a very popular Facebook post sharing how I turned my ‘worst year ever’ into a year of personal growth.
2014
January
New, professionally designed navidm.com (formerly navidmoazzez.com) website went live, and people started to take me more seriously.
Got my first few coaching clients as a result of this (nothing big, but at least a good starting point).
Published a personal branding expert round-up post and started thinking about focusing on online branding as my specialty.
April
Launched The Lifestyle Architects podcast (now retired podcast)
Interview with Robert Greene (author of one of my favorite books Mastery) went live
May
Got the idea for my first virtual summit, The Branding Summit after seeing a bunch of successful health summits. I knew this would help me grow my email list, influence and revenue rapidly!
June
Navidm.com (formerly navidmoazzez.com) turned 1!
July
Released another epic interview… this time with Cal Newport. I created an amazing guide that Cal said was the best summary of his work he’d seen someone compile.
August
I read “The One Thing” by Gary Keller & Jay Papasan. I immediately refocused on my “one thing” — to host an epic virtual summit.
November
Finally launched The Branding Summit!
After a moment of self-doubt, the first sale came in… then the second… and the third… until I ended up with over $20K in sales and close to 3,000 attendees.
Pre-sold the pilot version of my first online course, Virtual Summit Mastery (which I’ve now sold to Jan Koch, more on this later), on the backend of the summit and got my first dozen or so students to test and refine the method before I launched VSM to the public.
Finally quit my part-time job on Nov 28th, 2014. The same day I made over $5,000 by selling The Branding Summit All-Access Pass. All my doubts about this being the path for me were erased!
December
Traveled to Thailand with my family for Christmas and New Years (well needed and deserved vacation for me)
Decided to leave Sweden and move abroad for good.
2015
January
Lived in Cabo San Lucas for 3 weeks and realized that I could become a “lifestyle entrepreneur” and travel the globe.
Went skydiving for the first time to push past some fears and expand my comfort zone. Amazing!
Swam with whale sharks in La Paz, went flyboarding, and worked as a dolphin trainer for a day… just a sample of the life of a lifestyle entrepreneur.
Became the #1 affiliate for Ramit Sethi’s Zero to Launch course (now called Earnable) and won the grand cash-prize as well.
Made around $40K in one month (right after my first summit!)

My first time on the stage as I make a quick guest appearance at Podcast San Diego.
Attended Social Media Marketing World to finally meet some of the influencers I had interviewed for my podcast and summit in the past.
