Choosing the right sales funnel software decides what you pay each month, how much of each sale you keep, and how many buyers take the upsell. In this guide, I ranked and reviewed the 15 best sales funnel tools, along with my top 5 picks, so you can pick the one that fits how you sell.
Funnels built with AI, with a CRM, email, SMS and payments, and unlimited contacts.
Your own pages, written with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex, on Vercel.
Sales funnels with one-click upsells and order bumps, plus email, a CRM and courses.
Checkouts with order bumps, one-click upsells and subscriptions, and 0% of your sales.
Checkouts with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and buy now pay later, and no cut of your sales.
I've built sales funnels for over a decade, for my courses, my virtual summits and my email list. Over the years I paid for ClickFunnels, Kartra and Thrive Suite, and sold through ThriveCart, where I processed millions of dollars.
Today I build my own pages, funnels and checkouts with Next.js on Vercel and AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex. That isn't for everyone, so this guide covers that way and the tools that do it for you.
I went through each one's own pricing and feature pages, and wrote up what it does well, where it falls short, and what it really costs.
In this guide, I'll show you:
- All 15 sales funnel tools I reviewed, each with who it's for, key features, pros, cons and pricing
- What sales funnel software is, and the kinds there are
- What to look for before you pick one
- The best free sales funnel software
- What I use today
Every price here is from the tool's own pages, read in late September and early October 2026.

1. HighLevel

HighLevel is an all-in-one platform for marketing and selling: funnels, websites and landing pages, plus a CRM, email and SMS, calendars, payments, and courses and communities.
Its AI builds funnels too. You describe the page you need, and HighLevel's AI website and sales funnel builder generates it. Its AI also writes web pages, emails and social posts in your brand voice.
It's the one I'd pick if I weren't building my own. It does what ClickFunnels does, and adds a CRM, SMS and bookings, with no cap on contacts.
Every plan has unlimited contacts and unlimited users, and HighLevel takes no cut of your sales. Payments go through Stripe, PayPal, NMI and others.
What you pay on top is usage: phone numbers, SMS, emails and AI are charged as you use them.
Who is HighLevel for?
HighLevel is for businesses and agencies that want their funnels, CRM, email, SMS and bookings in one account, with no cap on contacts.
Key features
- Funnels, websites and landing pages on your own domains
- An AI builder that generates pages from a description
- One-click upsell funnels and webinar funnels
- A CRM with unlimited contacts and users

Pros
- Unlimited contacts and users on every plan
- Builds funnels with AI from a description
- Replaces your CRM, funnels, email, scheduler and SMS tools
- A 14-day free trial, month to month with no long-term contract
Cons
- Starts at $97 a month
- Phone, SMS, email and AI are charged by use, on top of the plan
- Its plans are built around sub-accounts, the way an agency works
Pricing
HighLevel has three plans, each with a 14-day free trial, from its pricing page as read on October 3, 2026:
- Starter – $97 a month, or $970 a year, with three sub-accounts.

2. Next.js on Vercel

This is how I build my own sales funnels, pages and checkouts today: in Next.js, hosted on Vercel, and written with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex.
Next.js is a free, open-source web framework from Vercel. Vercel puts what you build on its global network, with HTTPS and a preview link for every change.
You don't have to be a developer to start. You describe the page you want, and the AI coding tool writes it, runs it and changes what you point out.
Nothing caps my pages or contacts, and every page looks the way I want. But it takes longer to set up than a builder, so it isn't for everyone.
I'm working on templates of my own, so you can start from what I use.
Who is Next.js on Vercel for?
It's for creators and founders who want their sales funnels, pages and checkouts to look exactly the way they want, with no builder's limits, and who don't mind learning as they go.
Key features
- Pages built to your own design, with no template or page limits
- AI coding tools that write the code: Claude Code with Claude Pro, and Codex with ChatGPT Plus
- Next.js, free and open source
- Vercel's global network, with HTTPS on every plan
- A preview link for every change before it goes live
- A free first-year domain on Vercel Pro, on endings like .app and .site
Pros
- No caps on pages, contacts or design
- The code is yours, and Next.js runs on other hosts too
- Vercel's Hobby plan is free for personal projects
- Any email tool or checkout works with it
Cons
- Slower to set up than a builder
- You look after the code, with your AI tool's help
- Hobby is for non-commercial use, so a business needs Pro, at $20 a month
- Forms, email and a checkout are yours to connect
Pricing
Here's what it costs, from Vercel's, Claude's and ChatGPT's pricing pages as read on October 3, 2026:
- Next.js – free and open source.
- Vercel Hobby – free, for personal, non-commercial projects.

15. Thrive Architect

Thrive Architect is a WordPress page builder from Thrive Themes, made for conversions: landing pages, sales pages and lead pages from 300+ templates.
It's what I built my virtual summit pages with, back when I built my sites on WordPress, and I paid for Thrive Suite for years.
It has no checkout of its own, so it pairs with one like ThriveCart, FunnelKit or CartFlows.

What is sales funnel software?
A sales funnel is the path from a stranger to a buyer: a page that gets their email, the emails that follow, a sales page, a checkout, and the upsells after it.
Sales funnel software builds that path for you. An all-in-one tool does every step, and the rest do one part of it well, like the checkout, the pages or the emails.
What to look for in sales funnel software
Five things decide most of it:
- What you sell – courses and coaching suit Kajabi or Kartra, digital products and subscriptions suit a checkout like ThriveCart, SamCart or PayKickstart, and a service business suits HighLevel.
- The checkout – order bumps and one-click upsells raise what each buyer spends. ThriveCart, ClickFunnels and PayKickstart have them on every plan, and SamCart from Pro.
- Email and a CRM – HighLevel, ClickFunnels, Kajabi, Kartra, Systeme.io and GetResponse send your emails too. A checkout needs an email tool next to it.
- What it takes from each sale – HighLevel, ClickFunnels, ThriveCart, Kajabi, Systeme.io and SamCart take no cut. Kartra's first plan keeps 5%, and PayKickstart's price goes by your revenue.
- Who owns it – a hosted platform runs everything for you. A WordPress plugin, or pages you build yourself, run on a site you own.
They come in six kinds:
All-in-one platforms
Funnels, email, a CRM and a checkout under one plan, like HighLevel, ClickFunnels, Kajabi, Kartra and Systeme.io.
Build your own
Your own pages, funnels and checkouts, written with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex, on Vercel.
Checkout platforms
Checkouts with order bumps and upsells, like ThriveCart, SamCart and PayKickstart.
Email platforms with funnels
Your list first, with pages and products, like Kit and GetResponse.
Landing page builders
The pages at the top of a funnel, like Leadpages.
WordPress plugins
Funnels on your own site, like FunnelKit, CartFlows and Thrive Architect.
The best free sales funnel software
Here's where you can start without paying:
- Systeme.io – a free plan with three funnels, unlimited emails and 2,000 contacts.
- Kit – free for up to 10,000 subscribers, with unlimited landing pages and forms.
- CartFlows – a free version for WooCommerce on WordPress.
What I use
I build my own pages, funnels and checkouts now, the way I describe in Next.js on Vercel above, and I sell through my own checkout, Creator Store.
If you'd rather not build your own, HighLevel is the one I'd pick. And I'm working on templates of my own, so you can start from what I use.
