This free YouTube title checker scores your title before you post it, and keeps it under YouTube's limit.
The score comes from 25,385 videos in 172 real channels. It also shows which parts of your title won or lost across them: 38,086 pairs of videos from the same channel, posted within a month of each other.

What is a YouTube title checker?
A YouTube title checker checks a video title before you publish it, against YouTube's rules and against what worked for real channels.
YouTube Help says a title can be up to 100 characters. The checker counts yours and flags anything over.
How the score works, and how far to trust it
The score says where your title's wording lands among the titles in those channels: 70 means its wording beats 70% of them, by what won inside each channel.
I trained the model on 138 channels and graded it on 34 channels it never saw. The title it scored higher got more views 54% of the time, in 7,249 pairs with a clear winner, when a coin flip gets 50%.
That's a real edge, but a small one. The thumbnail and the topic decide far more than the wording. So use the score to pick between titles you like, and let YouTube's own test decide.
What won inside channels
In pairs of videos from the same channel, where 1 got at least twice the views of the other, this is how often a title with each part won:

YouTube Studio's Test & compare is the real test. YouTube Help says you can test up to 3 titles and thumbnails on a video, and at the end the one with the most watch time is shown to everyone.
It's on YouTube Studio on a computer, for long videos, and your channel needs advanced features turned on.
Where the data comes from
The titles and view counts come from the public channels in my creator directory, read on 2026-09-26. Only the model's weights and counts are kept, never the titles.
