Facebook makes each video in 2 files. On the 2 public videos I checked on September 26, 2026, HD was 720p on both, and SD was 360p on 1 and 426p on the other:

Downloading on iPhone and Android
On a phone, press Download and the video saves to your downloads: the Files app on an iPhone, the Downloads folder on Android.
Where your phone supports it, tap Share or save once to get the file, then again to open the share sheet. An iPhone offers Save Video there, which puts it in Photos.
Why some videos won't download
- The video isn't public. Videos shared with friends only, or inside private groups, need a sign-in.
- The video was removed. A link to a deleted video leads nowhere.
- Facebook didn't answer. Try again in a minute.
