How to get started with AI: Best AI tips for creators

So how do you get started with AI the right way?

Here are some of the best AI tips and strategies from the experts.

1. Navid Moazzez

Founder of CreatorSchool.ai, digital nomad, and #1 virtual summit expert Navid Moazzez loves teaching and sharing what works for him.

Navid’s top three best AI tips to get started with artificial intelligence focus on amplifying your brand by building upon your personality and original human content.

AI lets you focus on building relationships and creating epic content. You don’t need to stress about repurposing as much anymore.

AI Tip 1: Focus on original content.

Use AI to amplify the content you create yourself. It’s an assistant and will help you get more reach, if you use it wisely.

For example, you can do video interviews for your podcast or virtual summit and repurpose them into shorts, quotes, blog posts, emails, etc.

AI lets you focus on building relationships and creating epic content. You don’t need to stress about repurposing as much anymore.

AI Tip 2: Use AI as a collaborative assistant.

Don’t use AI content as it is because it’s often too bland or not good enough in terms of copywriting – even with expert-level prompting.

The human touch and personal experience is impossible to replicate with the current level of AI models.

AI Tip 3: Master the AI tools.

More often than not, I used tools that look great at the outset but fell apart when I started using them.

Spend the time to actually use a tool thoroughly, learn the in’s and out’s, and develop a workflow that works best for you.

2. Iman Oubou

How to get started with AI - best AI tips - Iman Oubou

Leading generative AI consultant and AI entrepreneur Iman Oubou (co-founder of Vocable.ai) shares her best AI tips and strategies to get into this world.

First audit, then automate, and don’t be afraid to iterate as you accelerate your brand with AI.

AI Tip 1: Start with a clear goal and audit your current process.

Understand what you want to achieve with AI and what your current process without AI looks like.

Then think about where AI would fit into automating certain tasks and steps, and what input you need for AI to be as accurate as possible.

AI Tip 2: Choose the right AI tool.

Once you have done that audit and understand your goal, then you’ve got to be able to know how to select the right AI tools that align with your specific content needs and your specific goals and objectives.

AI Tip 3: Embrace the learning curve.

I’ve seen so many creators get intimidated so quickly because they downloaded or signed up for a new platform and they just didn’t have the heart to figure it out.

Most platforms these days are built in a very easy to use way. They’re very user friendly, just be prepared to iteratively use and refine your approach to AI.

It’s a learning process. And the good news is that we’re all on the same level playing field because this is still a new technology.

Everybody’s also figuring it out as they go. So don’t fall victim to the learning curve and shy away from really using this powerful AI technology to your advantage.

3. Stu McLaren

Here’s what Stu McLaren, the world’s #1 leading membership expert and the co-founder of Searchie, has to say about AI:

Clarity of vision, creative experimentation, and consistent process are the keys that unlock AI’s transformative power.

AI Tip 1: Stay focused on your vision.

Stay really focused on your vision for how you plan on using AI.

What are you trying to get out of it?

If you lose sight of that, it’s like starting to drive and not knowing which direction you’re wanting to go. You’re going to go to all different places.

So get clear on the outcome that you’re after.

AI Tip 2: Experiment and try.

There’s all these amazing tools, and I hope Searchie.io is on top of everybody’s list, but there’s a whole lot of amazing tools.

But the way in which you’re going to get the most out of them is to experiment and try and play with them.

AI Tip 3: Turn AI into a process.

Once you are using AI tools and seeing how to use them, turn it into a process so that it becomes a habitual part of your everyday life, so that you’re not just saving time one time, you’re saving time all the time.

4. Mark Joyner

Mark Joyner is widely considered the father of digital marketing, having invented the tracking pixel, being the founder of 30+ startups, and authoring over a dozen books in print in 25 languages.

He’s focusing on real-world use cases and his tip cuts right through the noise in the AI world:

Analyze the biggest challenges AI can solve for you. Just know that AI won’t magically spit out epic content for you… think very carefully about the fact that you may be contributing to internet pollution.

Mark Joyner’s Top AI Tip: Analyze the biggest challenges AI can solve for you.

I would say there’s really only one thing, and that is to find out what some of your biggest problems are that you’re experiencing as a business owner right now.

Try to find an AI application that can actually solve that problem for you with the caveat that there are a lot of red herrings out there.

For example, if your problem is content creation and you think AI is just magically going to spit out content for you, think very carefully about the fact that you may be contributing to internet pollution.

5. Conor Grennan

Conor Grennan, Dean of Students and Head of Generative AI in NYU Stern shares these top AI tips on how to get started with generative AI:

Get some iteration and conversation going and you’ll get the best results.

AI Tip 1: Just get on to ChatGPT.

Just by using ChatGPT, it’s not going to do much for you on its own. You really have to then figure out what you want to do with it.

So what I would do is, in your personal life or in your career, break down the things that you do during the day, either at home or at your job, and start applying those things to ChatGPT and see how they work.

AI Tip 2: Remember AI is not magic.

Remember that it’s not a magic box. It’s not something where you’re going to hit a button, and it’s not a microwave where it spits back out the perfect response every time.

Sometimes you can get fooled, because it actually really does give you the perfect response. And that can steer you astray, when then you don’t get the perfect response.

Remember, if it’s giving you the perfect response, I don’t want to say it’s luck, but it’s because you’ve asked a fairly simple, straightforward question.

But when you ask something more complicated, you really have to work with it.

AI Tip 3: Iteration is key.

You want to work with this as if it is like an intern or something like that.

Speak to it like a human but also treat it like a human. In that, if it gets something not wrong, but just takes you in a different direction, talk to it, say, okay, that’s actually not really what I meant.

You don’t have to fill in special prompts or anything like that. Just say, “oh, I’m really after something like this, and here’s some feedback. And of those five examples, I really like number two”.

But really interact with it like that and actually get some iteration and conversation going and you’ll get the best results.

6. Aashi Gupta

Here’s what Aashi Gupta, a digital marketing specialist with over 1 million followers on Instagram, shared her best AI tips:

You don’t have to use AI tools that are used by everyone, but find the right tool for yourself.

AI Tip 1: Use AI to learn.

My first tip to get started with AI is by leveraging AI as a place to understand and learn more and test things quickly.

AI Tip 2: Use AI for content creation and research.

Leverage AI to create more content and create more content that’s trending and finding those keywords and hashtags.

AI Tip 3: Match AI tools with your expertise.

You’ve got to understand what your expertise lies in and master creating and finding tools that work well for you.

You don’t have to use AI tools that are used by everyone, but finding the right tool for yourself.

7. Sean Cannell

Sean Cannell, world-leading YouTube expert and the founder of Think Media, had these powerful AI tips when asked about starting with generative AI:

The quickest way to then learn AI is to start to practice and get hands on with the tool.

AI Tip 1: Start with doing research

To get started with AI the smart way, the first thing is you should start doing your research.

What does that mean practically? I think you should block hours. You don’t need a ton of time, but watch YouTube videos on what’s possible with AI.

What are the best tools for X function? So you could search what are the best AI tools for video editing, then actually watch the answers.

Then when you find the answer, maybe it’s something like Opus Clip for cutting clips out of long form content into short form.

Then watch tutorials about it to accelerate your learning curve and embrace moments like “I didn’t even know it did this”. That’s how you get up to speed.

To jump in without doing your research is a mistake and it can be overwhelming and actually lead to less efficiency than more efficiency.

AI Tip 2: Start to practice.

The quickest way to then learn AI and not just have the information go in one ear and out the other, is to start to practice and get hands on with the tool.

I have found one of my favorite apps for editing is CapCut. Maybe not a huge AI app, although they’re adding features, but I found that best way, now that I’m mostly on the go, to edit videos on my phone.

I was looking for a good mobile editor and the best way to learn how to do it was to watch tutorials of how to do it – and then to actually do it.

By now, my muscle memory and my fingers are doing it and I can kick out compilations of an event we do just from my own phone, from my perspective, for a quick social media video in seconds because I’ve practiced.

AI Tip 3: Commit to continuous learning

This AI space is moving so fast. It’s a little unnerving and I think you just have to accept the fact that what you may have thought was going to be an AI app that existed for years to come, may get displaced by a better solution in a three to six month window.

I think that you shouldn’t be afraid of the time you invested in one. Because at the end, you’re smarter. Period.

You’re just getting used to how AI thinks, how it works, how to use it.

Be sure to also learn how to really interact with AI. If you look at like a novice talking to ChatGPT versus an expert, the gap is real.

Somebody might just be like, “hey, write an email for my email sequence” here’s the audience versus I’ve seen prompts that are their own art form.

I think the mistake people can make is they actually overestimate the power of AI. While the power is there, it’s only potential power if you don’t have the knowledge, understanding or wisdom of how to actually access it.

The cool thing is that information is out there, so you have to learn to find it. And so that’s maybe adding more in.

Make a list of the top channels like this, people like Navid Moazzez with the AI for Creators Summit, follow people who can bring you good information so that you can get the best prompts possible.

Bonus AI Tip 4: Don’t be afraid to invest money.

I think there’s a myth that like all this information is free. And yeah, it is, but it also, the problem with that it’s murky.

Who do you trust? Who do you follow? There’s ads interspersed. It’s spread out, scatter shot all over the internet. There is priceless educational programs about using ChatGPT for sales or whatever.

And there’s all kinds of AI tools. Don’t be afraid to invest money in education and also don’t be afraid to invest money in the tools.

What we did at our company, I gave our team literally an unlimited budget. Mind you, that wasn’t that scary, but I was like, to pay 15 bucks here, 25 bucks here, 30 bucks a month here to test the tool, we created a list so we could cancel them if we ended up not using them.

Scared money doesn’t make money. People are too afraid. Oh, it’s 7 bucks a month to use this AI tool. Yeah, but what’s your time worth? And you may not stick with it.

But wait, using the ad version or delaying yourself by being afraid to spend the money or only using the two things a day because you don’t unlock it unless you get the paid version.

Stop the madness. Scared money doesn’t make money. I know that money can be short, but if you actually believe in the thing you’re doing and there’s monetization potential at the end, it is foolish to stress out over $7 when there’s $7,000 waiting for you on the other side of actually mastering this stuff.

Of course be cautious or wise with your funds, but too many people are penny pinching in the middle. They’re pinching pennies trying to build a millionaire lifestyle business, that’s incongruent.

You have to shift your thinking. So don’t be afraid to invest in education, invest in good tools.

You can always pivot later, but money is speed and there’s no doubt about it. The world is moving fast. So if you want to keep up pace, don’t hesitate to invest wisely in good resources.

8. Brock Johnson

With over 700,000 Instagram followers, renowned Instagram growth coach Brock Johnson shares these three AI tips to start using generative AI to grow your brand and reach new audiences.

Allow ChatGPT to help you help it create better outputs.

AI Tip 1: Just get started.

I know there’s 50 million new apps that are released every single week, but ultimately just get started.

AI Tip 2: Just get started with the basics.

You might want to get on this brand new app that just came out. I would recommend to just go back to ChatGPT. Good old and faithful ChatGPT.

Go back to the basics. Go back to day one. Most AI technology is built off ChatGPT anyway, so just go directly to the source.

AI Tip 3: Allow ChatGPT to help you write better prompts.

At the same time, allow ChatGPT to help you help it create better outputs. It’s a win win.

That way you’re putting in better input and you’re getting better output rather than just relying on your own creativity to come up with a really smart prompt.

9. Jeremy Mura

Jeremy Mura, a brand identity designer and AI educator from Sydney, shared these three AI tips:

Start crafting a database of prompts that you can constantly copy and paste.

AI Tip 1: Focus on a few apps.

Focus on a few apps that are really good. I would suggest using ChatGPT and Midjourney because they’ve been around for longer.

And their software typically has more features and it’s just better.

AI Tip 2: Build a prompt database.

I recommend you start crafting a database of prompts that you can constantly copy and paste, so you’re not always writing things from scratch.

You can use this resource on the fly and copy and paste prompts from your database.

AI Tip 3: Learn from online tutorials.

I would love watching YouTube or online events like the AI for Creators Summit. There’s a lot of people that are focused just on specific platforms and apps.

So focus on researching, experimenting, and just creating a whole bunch of stuff because that’s how you learn how the prompting works.

10. Lexi Hartmann

AI copywriting expert and multi-six-figure agency owner Lexi Hartmann had these three top AI tips for us:

Focus on the areas that will have the most impact for you in your creator business, and look for AI tools and resources that are very specific to that.

AI Tip 1: Take it slow.

Focus on the things that will have the most impact for you in your creator business.

For example, if you’re an influencer and you’re creating social media content, start there and look for A tools and resources that are very specific to that.

AI Tip 2: Don’t overwhelm yourself.

Don’t get overwhelmed. Try to really focus in on the areas that have the most impact for you and take a deep breath when you feel overwhelmed and understand that this is a big topic and there’s a lot to learn.

AI Tip 3: Realize AI isn’t going anywhere.

Just accept it because AI is not going anywhere. And if you fight it, you are going to be left behind.

AI is not going to replace creators, but creators using AI will replace creators who are not using AI.

11. Alicia Lyttle

The “Queen of AI” Alicia Lyttle thought these three tips are the best way to get started with AI in your creator business.

Be committed to going all in with AI. You have to understand that if you’re not, you’re going to get left behind. Right now you’re an early adopter. Take the opportunity.

AI Tip 1: Be committed to going all in with AI.

You have to understand that if you’re not, you’re going to get left behind.

Right now you’re an early adopter. Take the opportunity.

Think about all those times that you could have been an early adopter in something else, like Bitcoin, some investment that you wanted to do, right?

And you look back and you’re like, darn it. I wish I would have done it when I knew about it the first time and I would have been an early adopter.

AI Tip 2: Surround yourself with the right people

I would say number two is to be in a community of other people that are all in on AI because a community will help you so much.

So I come to summits like AI for Creators all the time to learn from other people.

So you’re not in this alone. You do not have to be in this alone. Be in a community and join summits like this and then bring other people with you.

Tell them about it because there’s so much room for all of us. And by doing that, it’s a game changer.

AI Tip 3: Test, test, test.

Test and play around with the different AI tools so that you’re fluent, as fluent as you can be in AI, but don’t expect to be fluent overnight.

Imagine learning Spanish and you expect to be fluent overnight, or learning another foreign language. You don’t expect yourself to be fluent right away.

I work with people who were in AI and then got discouraged and got out because they couldn’t get it overnight.

You’re not expected to get it overnight.

It took me months and months of really working with AI to get to the point where I could even teach others and speak on stage about it and speak on summits about it.

I’ve spent a lot of time with it. But you don’t have to spend the same amount of time if you find mentors and teachers who can take the long learning curve that they had to do and compress it for you.

So look for other opportunities as you’re testing these tools and you’re testing your knowledge, that you’re also following a mentor in some sort of program so that you can use their testing to your advantage.

We just call it leveraging other people’s knowledge and their time to your advantage.

And because you’re early adopters, maybe there wasn’t that opportunity eight months ago, but there is it today, that opportunity is here today.

12. Amy Yamada

7-figure business coach and speaker Amy Yamada had these top AI tips for us:

Use AI for something fun and easy and relevant to you and then start applying it for your business as well.

AI Tip 1: Just start.

I would say initially, to get started with AI, just start, right? Just go into ChatGPT, go into Claude.

And just start playing with it. If there’s any intimidation around it, just go in and play with it.

It just has a bar that looks like a search bar, just like if you’re going to Google. And ask it some questions.

AI Tip 2: Have some fun.

Maybe you’ve got a fun event coming up and you want to brainstorm some ideas about the theme and have it write an invitation for you.

Maybe you’ve got a health goal and you want to tell it about where you are in your journey and your health and you want it to make some suggestions about a daily meal plan or a workout schedule.

So use it for something fun and easy and relevant to you and then start applying it for your business as well.

13. Audrey Chia

Audrey Chia is the founder of Close With Copy, a hybrid human and AI copywriting agency.

Based on her experience, these three tips will help you get results with AI fast:

Focus on one AI tool and master it before moving to other tools. That’s when you have full control over your final output.

AI Tip 1: Don’t be afraid.

My best tip for someone who’s thinking about using AI is, don’t be afraid. It can be fearful, you can be scared at times, but you don’t have to be afraid.

Just give it a shot and you’ll find that you can embrace it a lot sooner.

AI Tip 2: Use AI daily.

Use AI every single day. Set some time, be it 1 hour or just 30 minutes. It is really good to dedicate a bit of time to creativity and experimenting.

AI Tip 3: Focus on one AI tool at a time.

Focus on one AI tool and master it before moving to other tools. That’s when you have full control over your final output.

14. Jordan Gill

Jordan Gill, CEO at Systems Saved Me® and co-founder of Micro AI Apps, has these three tips for you to get started with AI:

There is no such thing as a perfect prompt.

AI Tip 1: Don’t obsess over the perfect prompt.

My first big tip around using AI and getting started is to not feel like you have to have the perfect prompt.

Yes, you do need to practice, you need to play, but there’s no such thing as a perfect prompt.

Don’t get too caught up in exact wording and finessing because that just is going to have you stuck and not actually move forward and use the AI power that is available to you.

AI Tip 2: Don’t expect perfection.

Another tip that I have centered around getting started with AI is to recognize that it’s never going to give you an 100% output that you are going to be able to take and use.

This again eliminates this perfectionism that a lot of people have where I input something and it’s going to fully understand and magically know exactly what I need from it.

Instead, allow for it to get 70% to 80% of the way there, and then know that you’re going to take that next 20% or 30% and finesse it with your own voice and your own tone.

AI Tip 3: Use AI for a simple social media audit.

Another fun way to get started with AI is a simple social media audit. I find that a lot of people struggle with content ideas and figuring out what to say on social media.

That’s why I actually use Google’s AI, which is Gemini (formerly Bard), to audit my social media and tell me exactly the content pillars that it sees.

It analyzes the data to know which of those content pillars is working well and then giving me additional ideas of that specific content pillar so that I don’t have to keep coming up with those ideas myself.

15. Rachel Miller

Viral marketing expert and Pagewheel (formerly Bizzy AI) founder Rachel Miller shared these top tips to use AI. Take advantage of them, she has built engaged audiences with millions of raving fans.

The AI already knows what people are buying.

AI Tip 1: Don’t get sucked into the prompt.

The first thing that I would tell people if they’re starting with AI is to not get sucked into the prompt. Don’t obsess over running the perfect prompts and run prompts all day.

Instead, use an AI tool that packages it all up for you. Because we don’t need to become a prompting expert to use AI.

We just need to use the tool that already packages that content for us and gives it to us, spits it out, and puts it in a nice silver platter.

AI Tip 2: Use AI for customer research.

We don’t need to know who our customer is until AI tells us who that customer is. We should just be able to say: “AI, this is my niche.”

Then ask questions like “who is the best person to market to”, “what problems is that person trying to solve”, etc.

Because AI has the search history of every human being on this planet. So the AI knows what people are buying.

How about you tell me who the best person is, and then you create content for that person. I love that. And I love automating that. And that’s why we created Pagewheel.

AI Tip 2: Be aware of public knowledge.

17. Celeste Yamile

Celeste Yamile helps solopreneurs hack content creation with AI.

From her experience, these three tips are the most important first steps to take when you’re new to AI.

The more context you can give to AI, the better outputs you will create.

Tip 1: Stay focused

My best tips and strategies for everyone who wants to start this is just keep the focus.

Stay focused on what you want to achieve. There are a lot of tools. You will see many use cases that you might think are cool. But if they are not useful for you, then just take it down.

Tip 2: Learn ChatGPT

Another tip is to learn how AI works, specifically to learn how ChatGPT works.

Don’t focus on the prompts. Focus on the structure and the best strategies that prompt engineers are using to generate high quality outputs.

Tip 3: Learn how to provide context.

And the last tip would be, the more context you can give to AI, the better outputs you will create.

You can have AI creating stuff with your own tone of voice, if you actually give it a training around yourself. What do you like?

Or even train it with the transcript of a video. You can give a lot to AI and it can give you a lot back too.

Being a Venezuelan founder, CEO, and lead engineer of W3 Learn Academy, Gianina Skarlett earned her reputation from being hands-on and building communities with multiple ten thousand members.

Gigi’s top tips for getting started with AI are:

Build a centralized database of AI tools. Then later on you can start bringing them into your systems and do what you’re doing.

AI Tip 1: Find the best use for AI.

Analyze what your pain points are or the things that take you the most time.

AI Tip 2: Find top AI tools.

Spend time to search so you can find the top AI tools.

There are various types of AI plugins or apps, marketplaces that have a variety from sales, marketing, to copywriting, to video editing, to everything.

So you can build a centralized database of those tools that you feel most attracted to, take the time to research them, really find others and compare them.

And then later on you can start bringing them into your systems and do what you’re doing.

As one of the world’s leaders in the field of trusted AI, these are his best AI tips to help you get started with generative AI:

Start doing something with the simplest AI tool you can get your hands on.

AI Tip 1: Just start.

Number one is start, right? Don’t keep saying “I’m going to start, I’m going to start, I’m going to start.”

Just start.

Just go start doing something with the simplest tool you can get your hands on.

For example, Grammarly is a very simple tool to plug in and start using.

AI Tip 2: Find tasks to use AI in.

This is the harder part. Look at your job and see which part of your job can be made more efficient.

Learn with one of these, right, and start to leverage that to increase your efficiency.

AI Tip 3: Stay up to speed.

Read, read, read, or listen, listen, listen, or watch, watch, watch.

Because this space is moving so fast and you’re not going to learn about that new tool or this new technology that could be helpful for you if you are not doing that.

20. Jan Koch

Serial entrepreneur by heart, Jan Koch uses AI daily to run his company KoBra Dataworks, their B2B AI search platform, and his content marketing efforts.

These are his tips to achieve the best output with AI:

AI works best if you use it with your own data.

AI Tip 1: Build trusted systems.

AI works best if you use it with your own data. Blog posts, emails, interview transcripts, business data, you name it. AI can make it more useful.

For that to work, though, you cannot always trust the big players. Before you upload data into an AI platform, you have to understand how the data will be used.

AI Tip 2: Use AI Agents whenever you can.

AI Agents are coming fast. These are AI’s that can collaborate with each other to accomplish the task you give them.

Soon enough, they’ll be able to interact with tools like HubSpot, WordPress, ConvertKit, or other tools you have in your creator business.

That’s the next level of automation, where your role will be to initiate processes and review the results, for example the blog post and corresponding campaigns for social and email.

AI Tip 3: Don’t underestimate the impact on education.

AI will change how we learn. We will learn faster, more efficiently, and with personalized learning paths.

Don’t sleep on this trend to level up your skillset. Use AI as a super-teacher, who always knows the next best step for you in your learning journey.

21. Neville Medhora

Founder of CopywritingCourse. com, Neville Medhora is a digital pioneer who mastered attracting targeted audiences pre-Google and used his skills for brands like AppSumo and The Hustle.

These are Neville’s best AI tips to get a head start when using generative AI as a creator:

Use voice input with ChatGPT. You could use your AirPods and just talk to it back and forth to create custom podcasts for yourself.

These are Neville’s best tips to get a head start in the world of AI as a creator:

AI Tip 1: Use voice input with ChatGPT

Number one is to start using ChatGPT and playing with it back and forth so you can actually type with ChatGPT, or you could use your AirPods and just talk to it back and forth to create custom podcasts for yourself.

Use demos and check them out to see if they’re actually useful.

At first, they’re probably going to blow your mind, and then three days later you’re going to be like, this is dumb. It’s not actually very helpful.

But indeed this is very helpful in keeping up with it.

AI Tip 2: Follow just a few people

And then the other thing is to just follow a couple of people in the AI space.

There could be a couple of YouTube channels that you can follow or registering for the free AI for Creators Summit. A couple of X accounts that stay up to date on all this stuff and you just get the summary of it.

I think that’s the way that I stay up to date. I’m not staying up to date every single time some new machine learning method comes out.

That’s almost too much. I want to see what the useful cases are and so I follow a few influencers here and there just to keep abreast of the industry.

22. Ryan Levesque

The 7-time Inc. 5000 CEO of The ASK Method® Company and #1 bestselling author Ryan Levesque has these three tips for you to get started using AI:

Use AI as a powerful tool to enhance what you’re currently doing in your business, not as a replacement for your brain.

AI Tip 1: Familiarize yourself.

When it comes to using AI, I’ve got a few tips that I would invite you to start with. So first things first is to get familiar with the AI technology.

Start playing around and don’t worry about being an expert. You’re going to break things, it’s going to be a little bit messy, but just get familiar with the technology and how it works.

AI Tip 2: Decide.

Are you going to be a prompt engineer, i.e a coder, or a developer when it comes to AI technology? Or are you going to start getting good at using tools that are designed for end users?

There’s a very big difference between the two because becoming a prompt engineer is equivalent to becoming a coder or developer learning a programming language.

It’s a deep rabbit hole to learn. And if that’s you, go for it. But if that’s not you, leverage the tools that are designed for end users that are not in that situation.

AI Tip 3: AI is a tool, not a replacement for your brain.

Use AI as a tool, not as a replacement for your brain. So I look at AI and we look at a I as like any other piece of technology.

It is a shovel tool. It is a tool that you use to accomplish a goal.

AI is not a replacement for you as an expert, for you as a content creator, for you as the CEO of your business, or for you as a marketer. AI is a tool that you can use to enhance your impact and accelerate your impact.

So if you have that mindset and you have that approach, I think AI will be an incredibly powerful addition to your business in all the different ways that you might use it.

23. Matt Wolfe

Hear what the most followed AI expert and futurist on YouTube, Matt Wolfe (creator of Future Tools) has to say about getting started with AI as a creator:

Get into ChatGPT and use it as an advisor. You can even ask ChatGPT how you can better use AI to improve your business. And it will actually suggest ways that you can improve whatever you’re doing using AI.

AI Tip 1: Get into ChatGPT and use it as an advisor.

My first tip is to get into ChatGPT and tell ChatGPT everything about your business, tell it whatever information you need help with, what you’re struggling with, and let ChatGPT be that advisor for you in the beginning.

You can even ask ChatGPT how you can better use AI to improve your business. And it will actually suggest ways that you can improve whatever you’re doing using AI.

AI Tip 2: Experiment.

My second tip would be to experiment with some of the creative art tools that use AI: Stable Diffusion, Leonardo, Midjourney, DALL·E, some of these tools.

They are really, really good at helping with logos, helping come up with website designs, helping you come up with, you know, ads for Facebook or Google.

Just leverage some of the AI art tools and find how much quicker you can do some of the design aspects for your business

AI Tip 3: Leverage curated tool lists.

And then the third one, sort of a shameless plug, but check out Future Tools, because Future Tools is where I curate all of the coolest AI tools.

And there are so many tools that you can do things with AI that most people don’t realize what you can do with AI.

Things like interior decorating, take a picture of your room and it will show you how to lay out your room better.

There are tools to help you with  your speaking. Maybe you don’t feel very articulate or maybe you’re insecure about your accent or something like that. You can use AI to actually create audio in different voices.

So there are so many AI tools out there that I think most people don’t even realize exist yet. So a platform like Future Tools will help you stay in the loop with a lot of that kind of stuff.

24. Arman Assadi

Here’s some of Arman Assadi’s (co-founder of Steno AI) best AI tips and strategies to get started:

Go for quality over quantity, in regards to who you learn AI from.

AI Tip 1: Create pressure to use AI.

My number one tip is to pay the money to get invested. Money is a powerful psychological forcing function for learning.

So it’s kind of like buying the book, you know, don’t just talk about the book, buy the book.  When that applies to everything.

AI Tip 2: Remove the noise.

The next thing is to remove the noise, like don’t consume too much information.

I see a lot of people that are overloaded with too much information. So find a few people that you trust to distill what’s going on in AI. It could be a few AI newsletters, a few podcasts, or a free educational virtual event like the AI for Creators Summit, but less is more.

Go for quality over quantity, in regards to who you learn from. I think being picky is really important.

AI Tip 3: Have fun using AI.

And lastly, just have fun with it.

I just like to have fun in general, building a business and creating content is really hard. Being a startup founder is really, really, really hard.

Elon Musk famously said:

“It’s like chewing glass and staring into the abyss. So if that’s what you’re signing up for, at least make it fun.”

Try different techniques and AI tools out there. It’s surprising how many people still didn’t try these tools, but they read about them every day.

AI Tip 1: Learn from AI newsletters.

Get educated and follow some of the top newsletters. You can follow my newsletter, Nocode.ai, but there are a ton out there like AI for Creators. You have to get educated and stay up to date.

AI Tip 2: See what works for you.

Try different techniques and tools out there. Don’t just read about it, but get your hands on it. It’s surprising how many people still didn’t try these tools, but they read about them every day.

AI Tip 3: Measure and adjust.

And the third tip is to measure what works. Because I always say, if you cannot measure it, then you cannot understand if it works or doesn’t work.

So measure what works and double down on that.

26. Rory Flynn

The co-founder of Systematiq.ai and Midjourney expert, Rory Flynn, shared his top AI tips to get started with artificial intelligence today:

Start with small problems and then solve the bigger ones.

AI Tip 1: Start small.

Start with small problems and then start to solve the bigger ones. You can start with an AI tool like ChatGPT, and for example, ask it to write an email.

Once you get to learn that, now you can start to put your email data in there and have it reformulate that data and spit out strategy. So, I think it’s the same thing.

AI Tip 2: Improve your day-to-day.

Find small problems in your day to day. Think to yourself, is there an AI tool that can solve this? There probably is.

Go test it out and then start to integrate that more in a mass scale and that’s how you operationalize.

27. Mike Filsaime

Here’s what Michael Filsaime, The “Michael Jordan” of digital marketing and CEO at GrooveDigital has to say about getting started with AI:

Just start playing with ChatGPT and replace Google with it.

AI Tip 1: Replace Google with ChatGPT.

Just start playing with ChatGPT and replace Google with it.

Unless you’re looking for showtimes or something like that, but if you’re looking for anything that you would have gone to Google or Wikipedia for, start using AI.

AI Tip 2: Use AI whenever you can.

Start saying to yourself: “Hey, is this a task that I can do with AI?“

I’ll give you an example:

If I write an email when I’m very, very upset, maybe I’m dealing with a dispute. I’m writing something that is saying exactly what I want, but I know when I hit send, I’m not going to feel proud about it. Because it’s a little bit beneath me, but it’s just my emotions that are going out.

I’ll just take that email, put it into ChatGPT and say, rewrite this with less emotion. And then I, it’s like, oh my goodness, that’s exactly what I meant to say. And now I feel comfortable hitting the send button.

AI Tip 3: Follow the latest developments in AI.

And the third thing is, the third tip I have for you is stay up to date on AI. I’ll just give you one person.

His name is Matt Wolfe (who is a featured speaker at the AI for Creators Summit)… go subscribe to his YouTube channel. It’s a great way to stay in the know on everything that’s happening in AI because it changes very, very quickly.

Here are the top three AI tips to get started with artificial intelligence from AI and business growth strategist Molly Mahoney (founder of The Prepared Performer):

Have a system for collecting and organizing your AI content. Make sure that you know where you’re going to be putting the content after you create it.

AI Tip 1: Figure out what sets you apart.

The first is to figure out who you are separate from your business. You’re weird. Figure out what it is that makes you unique and makes you different.

AI Tip 2: Clarify your offering and target market.

The second is to get really clear about exactly what you’re offering and who you are offering it to. If you are selling skincare and you say, I serve everyone with skin, it is going to be really hard to recommend you.

So get clear about who your deal client is.

AI Tip 3: Systemize your AI content creation.

And then the third thing is, make sure that you have a system for collecting your AI content.

I see so many people just get into ChatGPT and create all this cool stuff, and then they never use it because it’s not organized.

So make sure that you know where you’re going to be putting the content after you create it.

30. David Taylor

Make sure you Here’s what David Taylor, the founder of Promptmaster has to say about getting started with artificial intelligence as a content creator:

Forget about prompt engineering, try having a conversation with AI first.

AI Tip 1: Start having conversations with AI.

For using and getting started with AI, I would recommend ChatGPT. ChatGPT is the gateway drug for everybody to get into the world of AI.

If you’re interested in using ChatGPT, forget about prompt engineering, try having a conversation with it first.

Then just through trial and error, start trying to guide it through a conversation to get you to where you would want to get to.

Try to make something with ChatGPT that you would actually do, for example, write a sales page copy, write an email, do some market research, etc.

And when you get feel for it, you will then be ready to learn more.

AI Tip 2: Find a human support network.

Find a support network, find a community of people that you can learn together because sharing knowledge, sharing information, sharing even the chats within ChatGPT will give you a tremendous amount of ideas. It will rewire your brain.

AI Tip 3: Be vary of overwhelming yourself.

And the third one is to not get overwhelmed. There are 10,000 different AI applications.

Stick to one or two applications that actually make sense for your business.

Do you do a lot of videos?

Use HeyGen, ElevenLabs and ChatGPT and nothing else. There is always another fancy shiny tool you can use.

Just narrow down into one, two or three AI tools and use that and you will be further along this curve than anybody else among your competitors.

31. Matt Leitz

Here’s what Matt Leitz, founder of BotBuilders, the #1 AI chatbot creator and 6x Inc 5000 CEO, has to say about getting started with AI as a creator and solopreneur:

Make sure you know why you’re using AI in the first place. Get crystal clear on your objective.

AI Tip 1: Know why you’re using AI.

Just get crystal clear on your objective.

If you get sucked into the hype and you’re all over the place and you’re looking at a million AI tools, you’re going to waste a lot of time.

So figure out exactly what you want to do, and that way you know the solution without looking at all the extra junk.

AI Tip 2: Get up and running fast.

Number two is to start with whatever the minimal viable product is.

What’s the easiest way to just get up and running?

Because even using a lot of these AI tools that are no-code solutions or drag and drop, you can still waste a lot of time.

So just make sure you know what the number one thing is that you want to achieve and achieve that thing, and then you can expand on it later.

But don’t hesitate to get your immediate result.

AI Tip 3: Just get committed.

The third thing, and by far the most important, is just get committed.

So many people right now are talking about AI and not doing anything about it.

Decide today and ask yourself, “what is my first step”, “where am I going to go”, “what do I got to do”, and get yourself in the game.

32. Jacob McMillen

AI expert and leading copywriter, Jacob McMillen shared his best AI tips to get started:

Apply the AI tools to actual things you’re doing to build your business and evaluate it through that lens.

AI Tip 1: Try the most advanced versions available.

I’d say number one, try it out. Try the most advanced versions available, because the difference between some of the older models and versions and the cutting edge ones are massive.

AI Tip 2: Apply AI to real workflows.

Two, apply it to your real workflows.

Do not play around with it and evaluate it based on novelty. Apply the tools to actual things you’re doing to build your business and evaluate it through that lens.

AI Tip 3: Look for key pieces to pull out of AI.

And then number three, go in expecting it to be a collaborative process. If you try to approach it from a can I take the entire output and use 100 percent of it, copy paste, you’re going to get very little useful stuff.

But if you go in looking for key pieces, core phrases, language, even sections in a broader piece and looking to pull pieces out and build around those with your own human process, that’s where AI really shines.

Always talk to AI like a human. You’re going to get a lot more value out of it.

If you’re getting started with AI, just start with OpenAI and ChatGPT. It’s the easiest way to kind of tinker and get used to it.

Always talk to AI like you’re talking to a person.

So introduce yourself in a way, tell it who you are, what you’re trying to accomplish. “Hey, I’m a social media creator. I’m trying to do this.”

So talk to it like a human. You’re going to get a lot more value out of it.

Pick those, read their newsletter, consume their content, implement what they share, okay? Implement it. You have to play with it just like a game. You’re like a kid.

35. Kate Gray

Kate Gray, the co-founder and visionary behind Growth Impact Group shared her best AI tips on how to get started with AI:

Ask what’s the littlest piece of AI you can use to make the biggest impact in your business now, master that, and then move on to the next piece.

AI Tip 1: Outsource to people who know how to use AI.

My first AI tip is to just ask who, not what.

So if it’s overwhelming, start to outsource to people who are using AI on platforms like Fiverr. Maybe they can do thumbnails for you, and editing for you.

AI Tip 2: Use AI to compress time.

My second AI tip is to look at a piece of software that’s super easy that can help you do volume. So maybe something like Munch at least can cut it up for you and put captions and then you can take it and edit it from there just so it saves you a little bit of time.

So what took you three hours before, maybe now can only will take you an hour.

AI Tip 3: Relax.

And the third thing is to just relax. It’s a mindset piece. A lot of people are very overwhelmed by AI right now. It’s okay.

You don’t need to figure it all out. Just start small.

Ask what’s the littlest piece of AI I can use to make the biggest impact in my business now, master that, and then move on to the next piece.

Experimentation, testing, just jumping right in. AI is still uncharted territory. Don’t worry about messing it up.

It’s like any other channel. You have to experiment with different types of prompts and different types of channels and different types of use cases and figure out where the leverage is.

And when you do find it, you have to go all in on it.

37. Jon Benson

This is what billion-dollar copywriter Jon Benson shared about getting started with AI and learning to use artificial intelligence the right way:

When you’re getting started with AI, try to look into pre-prompting. That’s what you need to do before you ever give AI a prompt. You need to retrain AI to focus on what good copy really is.

AI Tip 1: Look into pre-prompting

If you’re looking to get started with AI right now, try to look into pre-prompting.

That’s what you do before you ever give AI a prompt. So you’re retraining AI in the moment.

If you think about how AI even is in existence… AI is a language learning model, and it has basically been trained by reading the entire internet.

If I wanted to teach somebody how to be really bad at copy, I would tell them to read the entire internet, because most of the internet copy sucks.

You need to retrain it in the moment to focus on what is good copy, for example.

That’s why learning pre-prompting is really important.

AI Tip 2: Learn prompting basics.

The second thing is, I would learn the basics of prompts. Until you get an app like BNSN.ai, you have to deal with some form of prompting.

Learning how to communicate with the machine is much, much more valuable than having a series of prompts you could just copy and paste.

How that communication takes place is far more important to learn than the communication itself. Once you understand how you need to ask it and why, you can get a lot better results out of AI.

Tip 3: Be patient.

And the third thing is patience. It’s just playing around with something.

This is more than likely not going to replace you. Unless you are a bad copywriter, then it will replace you most certainly.

It will not magically replace all your copywriting needs either.

It’s not on the spectrum of destroying the world… this is not Terminator. This is not Skynet. This is not going to replace you as a copywriter.

It’s in the middle. It’s a collaborative copy assistant and it can be turned into the best copy assistant you’ve ever had with a little bit work.

39. Stephen Robles

Here’s what Stephen Robles, the Apple Insider Top 25 podcast host and video producer at Riverside.fm, has to say about getting started with AI:

Use AI to help you with repetitive tasks and to easily repurpose content.

AI Tip 1: Find repetitive work.

Think about the tasks that are involved with every piece of content you make.

If you do YouTube videos… title, description, tags. If you do podcasts… the episode titles and descriptions.

What are some of the repeating things that are required every time you post new content?

And how can AI help you in those times when you’re making it?

AI Tip 2: Find ways to apply AI to the repetitive tasks.

What is a format that you’re not currently posting in that you’d like to start?

So maybe you do videos and podcasts, but you also want to have blog posts, or maybe you’re not posting on LinkedIn yet, but you’re doing social media, like X / Twitter threads.

Use AI to start publishing in those other formats, using the content you have already made, rather than having to think on how to do it.

Just ask different AI tools, make this into a LinkedIn post, make this into a blog post, and it’ll make it much easier.

AI Tip 3: Consider translating content with AI.

There are some exciting advancements in translation and multiple languages.

Think about what languages you want to offer in the future.

As you create those different systems for creating blog posts or creating social media posts, think about how you can incorporate multiple languages in the future and reach an even wider audience.

AI doesn’t replace the need for you to understand what you want to do.

And then start researching how to prompt the AI correctly.

There’s a number of teachers out there, or even just resources available now like the AI for Creators Summit, that will give you some training around how to instruct the AI.

And then still, you need to learn how to use it for whatever your goal is.

41. Deirdre Tshien

This is what Deirdre Tshien, the co-founder and CEO of Capsho, has to say about getting started with AI as a content creator:

Don’t get caught up in the hype with the latest shiny AI tools.

AI Tip 1: Don’t get overwhelmed.

I know a lot of people get a bit overwhelmed and a little bit scared. So the first one is just jump in and just try it.

You’ll see for yourself, what it is that you need to tweak and test and learn and all of that.

AI Tip 2: Don’t rely too much on AI.

The second thing is, don’t just rely on AI being the answer to everything.

You always have to stay on top of it. You always have to be editing it. You always have to make sure that it’s accurate.

AI Tip 3: Don’t chase shiny objects.

And the third AI tip is to not get so consumed by all of the things.

There’s literally a new AI tool that comes out all the time. And it can be so overwhelming to keeps up with it all. So let that go. Don’t worry about all of that.

42. Daren Smith

Here’s what Daren Smith, founder of Craftsman Creative, film producer and serial entrepreneur, says about starting with AI:

AI is honestly not great at creativity.

AI Tip 1: Be aware of licensed vs. unlicensed AI output.

My best tips to get started with AI are mindset shifts. When you go into it, realize that the companies, the technology platforms and the AI models themselves don’t have attribution or copyright, and they never will have copyright. The federal judge has struck that down.

AIs cannot have and cannot own copyright. If you’re using unlicensed trained material, is you’re using someone else’s copyrighted material. And that’s not okay.

So don’t use it for personal gain, don’t use it to make money, don’t try to sell it, don’t try to iterate on it, don’t try to do derivative works, don’t do any of those things.

AI Tip 2: Realize AI is not really creative, yet.

So that’s a mindset shift getting into it. And AI’s honestly not great at creativity. It can’t do that. It doesn’t have original thoughts. It doesn’t have lived experiences.

And so all of those things need to be fed into the AI before you can actually use it.

And if you’re feeding it other people’s work, that’s theft.

So for me, it’s a mindset about going into it and how you’re going to use it. And if I would catch yourself right now, if you’re thinking that you’re going to go in and use an AI in order to create, don’t do it. I don’t think that’s actual creativity. And I think you’re going to open yourself up to a world of hurt down the line.

43. Jodie Cook

Here’s what Jodie Cook, the the founder of Coachvox AI, has to say about starting with AI:

Write a list of all the processes that happen within your business.

My first AI Tip is to write a list of all the processes that happen within your business, rank them on a scale of easy, medium to hard, and then pay an expert for an hour of their time to help you do it.

I would find an AI consultant online and show them your list and say, what could I do with all this stuff?

And then see what they can suggest and see how much time that you could save every single week.

Find a use case you’re doing manually and try to do that with AI.

If you want to get started with AI, the first thing you should do is to sign up for ChatGPT and pay for the plus experience. Go explore that.

Try to find a use case where you’re doing something and you want to try to do that with AI instead of you doing it manually. And be playful when using AI tools like ChatGPT.

45. Drew Brucker

These are the top three tips for AI to get started with artificial intelligence from award-winning marketing leader and Midjourney expert, Drew Brucker.

It’s not too late. We are still in the very early stages of everything AI.

AI Tip 1: Realize that you’re still early.

It’s not too late. Number one, I think we are still in the very early stages of everything.

AI Tip 2: Immerse yourself in AI content.

Number two, if you’re not sure where to start, I think just immersing yourself with content in the places that you spend time is extremely valuable.

Whether you listen to podcasts, you spend time on LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram, read books … whatever that medium is for you to consume content, immerse yourself with AI in it.

Because you’re just going to compound your learning and expedite that process. I like to do that across the board because I get different perspectives. I get cutting edge stuff that just got announced, right? And it allows me to know exactly what’s going on.

AI Tip 3: Have a clear use case.

Then, be sure to really think about the use case it has in your business.

The only way you’re going to know how to do that is to experiment and try things and really start to document.

Hey, does this give me the quality that I want? Does this save me time? Does this save me money or does it save me some sort of compromise?

And if that’s the answer, then it’s worth diving into further.

AI Tip 1: Start having a conversation with ChatGPT.

AI Tip 2: Start recording yourself on video, interviewing other people, feeding that in the ChatGPT.

47. Julia McCoy

Julia McCoy, the president at Content at Scale had to say about starting with AI:

Think about the areas in your creator business that take you the most time. Bucket those categories and then look for the right tool.

AI Tip 1: Identify high-leverage use cases.

Number one, think about the areas of time that take you the most time.

Is that content creation? Is that research? Bucket those categories and then look for the right tool.

AI Tip 2: Cut back on too much testing.

Just any AI tool out there won’t cut it for a specific use case.

You might find yourself wasting time instead of cutting back time.

AI Tip 3: Get to know the tool.

And then number three, get to know that tool.

Once you have one lined up for that use case, get to know it in and out and live in it, and I’m telling you: your day and your hours will open up with the right AI tool.

48. Kelley Tenny

Here’s what Kelley Tenny, founder of Teach Your Brilliance, recommends for getting starting with AI:

Pick one AI tool at a time. Don’t try to learn all of them all at once.

My top three tips to get started with AI would be to pick one tool at a time. Don’t try to learn all of the tools all at once.

My second tip would be to experiment. If you ask it to do something and you don’t get the results that you want, don’t give up, don’t think that AI is horrible. Just try asking it a different thing or try wording what you want it to do in a different way.

And my third tip is to start using AI for the tasks that bog you down, the things that you don’t like to do, the things that take too long.

Don’t try to start using AI for all of the things, right off the bat.

49. Michal Leszczynski

Here’s what Michal Leszczynski, the head of content marketing & partnerships at GetResponse has to share about getting starting with AI:

Use AI in a conversation mode.

Use AI in a conversation mode. So follow up on the things that you like or you dislike and make sure that AI is listening to you.

So sometimes it’s going to make mistakes. It’s going to come up with their own answers, but you have to follow up, be very specific, and then you’re going to get the right answers that you’re looking for.

50. Matt McWilliams

Here’s what the leading affiliate marketing expert Matt McWilliams has to say about getting started with AI:

Train AI on content you already have.

AI Tip 1: Start today.

The number one tip to get into AI would be to start today. If you have anything, I’m speaking specifically of content creation, anything you can train it on, an email you sent to your mom, load it and say, here’s how I write.

And you can get started, then tell it to write something and it’ll write something that’s not very good and then you’ll tell it why it’s different.

Or what to tweak and it’ll get better and better and better over time.

AI Tip 2: Patience and discipline.

Number two would be to load other people’s content, people that you admire, emails, blog posts, whatever, people that you look up to that you read and say, this is the style that I’m looking for. And you can use that.

AI Tip 3: Invest time early on.

And number three is be willing to spend just a little bit of time early on. It’s just like hiring a team member. You don’t hire a team member and they just start working on day one and making you money. You have to train them.

AI is the same way, you train it, you teach it, and it evolves, and it learns, and eventually, like I said earlier, it gets to the point where you can pretty much use it 100 percent of the time and rely on it.

52. Areg Vardanyan

Areg Vardanyan, lead growth product manager at 10Web, shared this powerful AI tip to help creators and solopreneur get started with artificial intelligence the right way (and not get overwhelmed):

Don’t go after every AI tool you see on the market.

The first thing I would recommend to creators or solopreneurs who are thinking about starting to use powerful AI tools is not to go after every tool you see on the market.

You have to leave the FOMO basically. Do not be scared of being behind and to compensate for that fear by trying every tool on the market. There are a lot of reviews. There’s a lot of research.

You need to first understand the problem you’re trying to solve in your business. Can AI help you with that?

If that’s the case, you can go and try to find an AI powered tool that will help you with this specific task or problem you’re facing.
