Question 1

An Instagram HD video downloader is a tool that saves an Instagram video in high definition, as a file on your device. This one saves the file Instagram shares for a public video, which is HD, with no new encoding.

Question 2

How do I download Instagram videos in HD?

Accepted Answer

To download an Instagram video in HD, tap Share on the Reel or post, then Copy link. Paste the link into the Instagram HD video downloader, press Get video, then press Download.

Question 3

Can I download Instagram videos in 4K?

Accepted Answer

No, no tool can download Instagram videos in 4K, because Instagram doesn't share a 4K file for them: on every public Reel I checked on September 26, 2026, the file was 720p. A 4K download would be that 720p file made bigger, with no added detail.

Question 4

Can I download Instagram Reels in 1080p?

Accepted Answer

Not from Instagram's public pages: the file Instagram shares for a public Reel was 720p on every Reel I checked. The Instagram HD video downloader saves that file, the best Instagram hands out.

Question 5

Why does my downloaded Instagram video look worse?

Accepted Answer

A downloaded Instagram video looks worse when it's been converted or screen recorded, which squeezes the picture again. Save the file as Instagram shares it, and post or edit that file, not a copy of it.

Question 6

Can I download Instagram videos in HD on my iPhone?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can download Instagram videos in HD on an iPhone: press Download and the video saves to the Files app. Or tap Share or save twice to open the share sheet, and pick Save Video to put it in Photos.

Question 9

Can I get the transcript of the video?

Accepted Answer

Yes, press Get the transcript under the video. On YouTube it reads the video's own captions; everywhere else, AI writes down the speech, for videos up to 5 minutes. Copy it, or download it as a .txt or .srt file.
