What would your perfect day look like?

I actually did this exercise and wrote it down a little over a year ago, and I found it to be extremely powerful.

So I will not only describe my perfect day, but also try to provide you with some great tips on how you can come up with yours.

One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching – Mooie Click to tweet!

What is Your Perfect Day?

Your Perfect Day: What would your perfect day look like?

Before writing this post and sharing my perfect day with you, I asked a few friends what their perfect day would look like.

What I found interesting is that most of them have a slight idea, but haven’t really thought of it in this way before.

You usually know what you don’t want your perfect day to look like.

But do you know what you really want for it?

Sometimes when I wake up in the morning and go for my daily run and workout, I try to visualize what my perfect day would look like, and play this beautiful scene inside my head over and over again.

It’s really powerful stuff, and I’m getting more clear of what I want and desire the most each time I do it.

Describing, writing down and visualizing your perfect day is a fantastic exercise, and it has helped me a lot since I first did it last year to figure out what I really want and value to the most in my life.

Really try to think what your perfect day would look like. I would like you to write down in as much detail as possible what your perfect day would look like. Be specific and try to get as clear as you can.

Don’t let anything hold you back from visuazaling every second of that perfect day and you’ll find it much easier to make the difficult changes towards shifting your own reality.

If you had the freedom and flexibility to do whatever you want, want would you do?

Why is it so important to write down what your perfect day looks like?

It’s really important because what you just wrote down and visualized for yourself is completely attainable if you work hard and take action towards it.

You will need to get uncomfortable, get out of your comfort zone if you want to make the necessary changes needed in order to get to where you want to be in your life.

Would it feel amazing to be able to experience and live your perfect day every day?

I think so, and that’s why this exercise is awesome, because you get really clear of what you want, so that you can work towards specific goals and achieve that perfect day sooner.

And you know what the best thing is? It can happen sooner than you think if you take massive action one step at a time every single day!

My Perfect Day

Now that I’ve hopefully helped you a bit to start thinking about what your perfect day would look like, I’m going to share my perfect day with you. As I mentioned above, I’ve done this exercise before a few times, and it always excites me every time I do it.

It takes me one step closer to actually living my perfect day and the kind of lifestyle I want to live for the rest of my life every single day.

As I’m waking up early in the morning at 7 a.m, I am overlooking the beautiful ocean from the terrace (let’s say in Spain, or Panama where I currently live now). I feel energized, awake and ready to take on the world, because I know that this will be an amazing day. I get dressed quickly and walk into the kitchen in my beach condo, drink a glass of lime water before I head out for my daily morning run, and some awesome surfing. I look out of the window again, the waves are just perfect, what a fantastic day, and there’s not a single person at the beach. It will be just me, my thoughts and my surfboard catching the perfect waves.

I go for a quick run at the beach and I feel blessed that I can do this every day if I feel like it. Then I grab my surfboard, walk towards the ocean. The waves are still perfect. Just a few clouds on the sky, but nothing will stop me today. I feel unstoppable and I know that this will be the first time I catch a really big wave. And of course I do, after some trial error I catch the perfect wave which takes me all the way in again. What a great feeling!

After my daily run and surfing for about  1,5 hours, I head back to my beach condo where my beautiful girlfriend is now waiting for me. She has already prepared some healthy breakfast for us with all kind of fruits, like mango, cantaloup, passion fruit, pineapple, oranges, kiwi and some other exotic fruits. She knows that I just love fresh fruit in the morning. We decide to make a smoothie as well, feels great after exercising to get an energy boost like this.

When breakfast is over, I go outside to sit on the terrace while going through my to-do list for the day. While I love doing all this fun and adventurous stuff, I am so passionate about what I do for a living, so it doesn’t really feel like work. There’s no better feeling in the world than helping other people achieve their dreams and biggest aspirations in life. I respond to a few emails, maybe a fun coaching call, and possibly interview and inspiring entrepreneur for my show The Lifestyle Architect.

As I’m sitting outside on the terrace, writing yet another (hopefully) epic, helpful and inspiring blog post, I start to think of everything I’ve accomplished and how many people I’ve inspired to do extraordinary things and don’t settle for mediocrity. I smile, and I think that a perfect day is not only about yourself, rather it’s also about how you can give back and help other people do the same by improving their lives to the better.

Now it’s around 3 p.m in the afternoon and I go to meet up a few really good friends at the beach. We’re playing beach soccer. It feels great, the sand is just perfect and I’m in a good mode. Over the last few months I have trained really hard so I’m in peak health and fitness and the best shape of my life. I score several goals within a few minutes, and after 2 hours, we decide to call it a day and my team won by a few goals.

I decide to stay for a little longer, and I go and grab my surfboard to hit the waves once again today. They are not as good as in the morning, but still challenging enough. Not a single cloud on the sky….I catch some nice waves and I see that people are looking at me like I’m crazy. But I don’t care. Nothing can stop me from living and do the things I desire the most. This is my life…and life is damn precious and I value my time here!

Then I get back home to my beach condo, getting ready for the night and meet up my incredibly beautiful and intelligent girlfriend to have some dinner at a nice Persian restaurant I’ve found nearby. I order Kebabe Soltani, and she orders Ghorme Sabzi. It’s the first time she tries Persian food, but I tell her that she can trust me. She does, and really enjoys her meal. Obviously it’s not the first time I eat persian food, but I actually enjoy this meal and it’s just great (even though it’s not my dad’s perfect Persian food of course). We talk a lot about how we both can live out our purpose every day and do what we love. We are thankful for all the people in our lives, and all the people we continue to inspire  and help on a daily basis. She’s a lifestyle entrepreneur herself, and can travel and live wherever she wants. We’re both location independent… we choose freedom and loving it!

After dinner, we go for a walk on the beach, and watch the sunset together till we head back home to my beach condo…a perfect day just got even better. This is my perfect day!

Final Thoughts

I always enjoy writing what my perfect day would look like.

It’s ever evolving, but usually it looks about the same every time I do this exercise depending on what mode I’m in and how I’m feeling at the time. It doesn’t have to be the same environment and the same people, but I alway want the feeling to be the same when I wake up. It has to feel amazing.

This exercise is very rewarding, and each time I do it I feel like I’m one step closer to living my perfect day and achieving my ideal lifestyle. I have experienced a taste of it before and built a wildly successful lifestyle business, but I want to live it again and again for the rest of my life!

I will think about my perfect day. It’s such a loaded question. I think it might involve hang gliding, zip lines, and Pina Coladas on the beach – all with my amazing wife (who is already perfect).

Thanks for making me think! Great visuals my friend.

    Hi Navid,

    Love this movie-mind-map approach!

Our mental picture – or dominant picture – precedes our reality.

    No way around it.

The picture seen and injected with feelings becomes a dress rehearsal for the future.

    Thanks!

  12. Jules Harris says:

I read this & realized I was doing it completely wrong!
But I have an important question before I can do it right…
You talk about your perfect day w/the beautiful sunset at the ocean & girlfriend, is the girlfriend made up? (can u make 1 up?)
& do you really live near the ocean?
Can I make my perfect day anywhere, or should it be somewhere near me?
    -Thanks for your time!! 🙂
