Question 1

How many X / Twitter creators are in this directory?

Accepted Answer

There are 228 of them here, and the number on the page is counted from the database on every request rather than typed into the copy, so it cannot drift from what is actually listed.

Question 2

How does someone get listed as an X creator here?

Accepted Answer

Every person on this list was added by hand. Navid follows their work, has interviewed them, has worked with them, or was pointed at them by someone whose judgement he trusts. Nothing is scraped from another directory and nobody pays to appear.

Question 3

Does a creator have to post only on X to be in this category?

Accepted Answer

No. A creator appears here if X is one of the platforms they are known for, and most of them publish on several. Their profile lists every account they post to, so you can see where else to follow them.

Question 4

Are these ranked by follower count?

Accepted Answer

No. The default order puts featured creators first and the rest follow. You can sort by audience size if that is what you are after, but a large following and a useful one are not the same thing, and this list is built around the second.

Question 5

Why do some creators show no follower count?

Accepted Answer

Because it has not been verified recently enough to be worth printing. A stale number is worse than none: it makes the page look precise while being wrong. Where a count is shown, it was checked.

Question 6

How often is the list updated?

Accepted Answer

It is edited continuously and the site reads the database on every request, so a change is live on the next page load. There is no publishing queue and no weekly batch.

Question 7

Can I suggest a creator who is missing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it is the fastest way for the list to get better. Use the contact form on the site, say who they are and what they are worth following for, and it goes into the review queue.

Question 8

What is the difference between this and the Influencers category?

Accepted Answer

This category is about the platform someone publishes on. Influencers is about what they do. A person can be in both, and many are, which is why a profile lists every category it belongs to.

Question 9

Do the profiles link to their actual accounts?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every profile links to the accounts the creator publishes on, plus their site and newsletter where they have one. The links go to the creator, not through a redirect.

Question 10

Is anyone paid to be on this list?

Accepted Answer

No. No one pays to be listed and no placement is sold. Some tools linked from a creator's profile are affiliate links, which is disclosed, but that has never decided who appears here.

Question 11

Can I use this list for outreach or research?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The whole catalog is published as JSON and CSV in the public repository, refreshed from the same database the site reads, so you do not have to scrape the pages to work with it.
