What is an event ticket price calculator?
An event ticket price calculator works out the price that covers your costs and brings the profit you want.
It spreads your fixed costs, like the venue and speakers, over the tickets you expect to sell, adds what each attendee costs, and accounts for the ticketing fees.
Who is the event ticket price calculator for?
It's for anyone running a paid event, in person or online:
- Virtual event idea generator – organizers picking the event to run.
- Event name generator – organizers naming it.
- Sponsorship rate calculator – organizers pricing sponsors to lower the ticket.
- How to monetize virtual events – anyone planning how an event earns.
It runs in your browser, and nothing you enter leaves your device.

An example
A $49 ticket, 100 tickets, $2,000 in event costs and $5 per attendee for food, in the US. With buyers paying the fees, each buyer pays $54.13 and your profit is $2,400.00.
If you absorb the fees, Eventbrite takes $5.13 a ticket and your profit is $1,887.15. Your break-even ticket price, with buyers paying the fees, is $25.00.
Pricing a virtual event
A virtual event has no venue and no per-person costs, so the fixed costs are the platform, speakers and marketing. Free virtual summits often earn from an all-access pass instead of tickets: see how to host a virtual summit.
Eventbrite alternatives
Other ticketing platforms charge differently: a flat fee per ticket, or a plan with no fee on tickets. Here they are, with each one's fees from its own pricing page:
