Pick a layout, colors and a font, turn the card in 3D to check it, then download a print PDF, a sheet to print at home and your contact file.
Here's what to put on a business card, the sizes to print at, and how to print it.
Key takeaways
What is a business card generator?
A business card generator lays out your name, title and contact details on a card, sized and set up for printing.
This one draws the card at 300 dpi, the resolution print shops ask for, and puts a QR code on the back from my QR code generator.
What to put on a business card
Your name
The biggest line on the card
Your title and company
What you do, in a few words
1 or 2 ways to reach you
Your phone, email or website, not all of them
A QR code on the back
It saves your contact in one scan
Your logo
On the front or the back, never both crowded together
Less is more: a card with your name, what you do and 2 ways to reach you reads better than one with 6 lines of details.
Business card sizes
- Card
- 3.5 x 2 in (88.9 x 50.8 mm)
- With bleed
- 3.75 x 2.25 in
- Card
- 85 x 55 mm
- With bleed
- 91 x 61 mm
The bleed is background that runs past the cut, so the card has no white edge if the cut moves a little.
Keep text and logos at least 3 mm inside the cut, in the safe area. The generator does both for you.

Print at a shop or at home
For the best result, send the print PDF to a print shop and ask for heavy card stock, 14 to 16 pt (350 to 400 gsm).
To print at home, use the home sheet: 10 cards on one page with cut marks. Print the back page on the other side, then cut along the marks.
Who is the business card generator for?
The business card generator is for anyone who hands out their details in person, and it works well with my other tools:
- QR code generator – for a QR code on its own, for a flyer, a menu or a sign
- Email signature generator – for the same details at the end of every email
- Link in bio generator – for one page with all your links, to put on the card
- Media kit generator – for a page journalists and hosts can use
Your card stays in your browser. Your logo is never uploaded.
