This free business card generator makes a print-ready business card from your details, with a QR code on the back that saves your contact.

Pick a layout, colors and a font, turn the card in 3D to check it, then download a print PDF, a sheet to print at home and your contact file.

Here's what to put on a business card, the sizes to print at, and how to print it.

Key takeaways

This free business card generator makes print-ready cards at the US 3.5 x 2 in and EU 85 x 55 mm sizes.
The print PDF has 3 mm of bleed, so a print shop can cut it without a white edge.
The QR code on the back saves your name, number, email and website as a contact.
A home sheet prints 10 cards on US Letter or A4, with cut marks.

What is a business card generator?

A business card generator lays out your name, title and contact details on a card, sized and set up for printing.

This one draws the card at 300 dpi, the resolution print shops ask for, and puts a QR code on the back from my QR code generator.

What to put on a business card

Your name

The biggest line on the card

Your title and company

What you do, in a few words

1 or 2 ways to reach you

Your phone, email or website, not all of them

A QR code on the back

It saves your contact in one scan

Your logo

On the front or the back, never both crowded together

Less is more: a card with your name, what you do and 2 ways to reach you reads better than one with 6 lines of details.

Business card sizes

US standard

With bleed

EU standard

With bleed
91 x 61 mm

The bleed is background that runs past the cut, so the card has no white edge if the cut moves a little.

Keep text and logos at least 3 mm inside the cut, in the safe area. The generator does both for you.

For the best result, send the print PDF to a print shop and ask for heavy card stock, 14 to 16 pt (350 to 400 gsm).

To print at home, use the home sheet: 10 cards on one page with cut marks. Print the back page on the other side, then cut along the marks.

Who is the business card generator for?

The business card generator is for anyone who hands out their details in person, and it works well with my other tools:

Your card stays in your browser. Your logo is never uploaded.

Questions about business cards? Here's what to know.

A business card generator lays out your name, title and contact details on a card, sized and set up for printing.

This one also puts a QR code on the back.

Yes.

It's free, with no account and no watermark.

The US standard is 3.5 x 2 inches (88.9 x 50.8 mm).

In Europe, it's usually 85 x 55 mm.

Bleed is background that runs past the cut line, usually 3 mm or 1/8 inch.

It keeps a white edge from showing if the cut moves a little.

A phone camera scans it and offers to save your name, phone, email and website as a contact.

You can also make it open your website instead.

300 dpi, the resolution print shops ask for.

The generator draws every card at 300 dpi.

Yes.

Download the home sheet: 10 cards on US Letter or A4, with cut marks and the backs lined up for 2-sided printing.

Heavy card stock, 14 to 16 pt (350 to 400 gsm), for a card that feels solid.
