You put it somewhere you'll see it often, so your goals stay in front of you instead of in a notebook you never open.

Tips for a vision board that works

• Be specific – "Afternoons at the beach" beats "be happy"
• Use real photos – pictures of the places and things you actually want, or your own photos
• Keep it to a few areas – 4 to 7 tiles read at a glance
• Put it where you'll see it – your lock screen is the one place you look at dozens of times a day
• Update it – when you reach something, swap in the next thing
