Score your year
Score each area of your life from 0 to 10. No 7s: it's the number people pick to avoid deciding.
This free wheel of life assessment scores 8 areas of your life from 0 to 10 and draws your wheel as you go.
The shape shows you in a second what a list can't: which area is holding the rest back.
What is a wheel of life assessment?
A wheel of life is a circle cut into the areas of your life, like health, money and relationships. You score each from 0 to 10, and the scores join into a shape.
A round shape, even a small one, means your life is in balance. A spiky one means one area is pulling the others down.
How to use the wheel of life assessment
Your scores stay in this browser. Come back next year, and last year's shape shows as a dotted line under the new one.
The 8 areas
| Area | Ask yourself |
|---|---|
| Health and longevity | Do I have the energy for the life I want? |
| Career | Is my work taking me where I want to go? |
| Money | Do I feel calm about money? |
| Relationships and network | Do I have the people I want around me? |
| Family | Am I the partner, parent or child I want to be? |
| Personal growth | Am I learning and getting better? |
| Fun | When did I last do something just for the joy of it? |
| Home and surroundings | Does where I live and work help me? |
Why there's no 7
A 7 is the score people give when they don't want to decide. It says "fine" and moves on.
So the wheel skips it. Pick 6 if the area needs work, or 8 if it's good. That one choice tells you more than any other score.
From your wheel to a plan
Your lowest area is the one to plan for first. The personal annual review template starts with this same wheel, then turns it into a theme, 3 outcomes and weekly inputs, and checks that every low score is in the plan.
