I kept the sunset in every crop, the part of the photo that matters most.
Compared with Buffer
Buffer has a free social media image resizer too. I ran the same photos through both on October 1, 2026:
- This resizer
- 77
- Buffer
- 21
- This resizer
- Up to 20
- Buffer
- 1
- This resizer
- JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF
- Buffer
- JPEG, PNG, WebP, up to 10 MB
- This resizer
- Never
- Buffer
- After your first 5 images
- This resizer
- Fitted for you
- Buffer
- Listed only
On the same photos, cut to LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and YouTube sizes, this resizer's JPGs scored within about a point of Buffer's and were 13% to 24% smaller.
Buffer has no Google Business Profile sizes; its page for them didn't load when I tested it.
How I tested
I tested on October 1, 2026, with two of my own photos, Stockholm and Panama City at sunset, 1,536 × 2,048 each.
Above 80 means the same side by side at 100%. Both tools' files scored 85 to 88 where both cut the same area.
Who is the social media image resizer for?
It's for anyone who posts the same photo in more than one place:
- Blog to social posts – people turning one article into posts for every network
- Post image generator – creators making images for posts
- Link in bio generator – creators linking every profile to one page
- Compress image – anyone making a big photo smaller first
Social media managers use it to make a week of images from one shoot in a few minutes.
