What is a video resizer?
A video resizer changes a video's shape and size, like a 16:9 recording into a 9:16 TikTok. It fits the picture into the new frame and saves a new file.
This one re-encodes the video in your browser, trims it, turns it and can take the sound out.
Video sizes by platform
Each size below is from the platform's own page, read 2026-09-27. Where a platform gives a range instead of a size, the tool uses full HD in the shape it recommends.

LinkedIn, X, TikTok and Pinterest take square too, and X and LinkedIn take vertical, all in the tool.
Blurred fill, crop or color
Blurred fill keeps all of the video and puts a soft, blurred copy of it behind, where black bars would be. Nothing is cut off, and the frame still looks full on a phone.
Crop fills the frame and cuts the edges. Slide the position to keep a face in, and zoom in when the subject is small.
Or tick Follow the face: a face detector on your computer finds the person 5 times a second, and the crop glides with them. On a 2-person call, it stays with the first person it sees.
Color keeps all of the video on a plain color, like white for a clean look.
Why not black bars
YouTube's own advice, in YouTube Help: "For best results, avoid adding padding or black bars directly to your video." A player that fits the video to the screen does a better job than bars baked in.
For Reels, Meta recommends 9:16 "to avoid cropping or blank space," per Meta for Developers. The blurred fill fills that space with the video itself.
Trim, turn and mute
Set the start and the end to keep only the part you want. Turn a video filmed sideways, 90° at a time.
Remove the sound for a clip you'll put music under in the app. The preview plays the result before you save it.
Quality and file size
The video is re-encoded with your browser's own H.264 encoder, as an MP4 that every platform takes. Start from the sharpest copy you have, since a small video made bigger looks soft.
Nothing is uploaded
The video never leaves your computer: your browser reads it, draws each frame into the new size and saves it. There's no upload, no watermark and no account.
