The round-number days
A birthday comes once a year, and these days come once in a life.
Your 10,000th day
It falls at about 27 years and 4 months old. In the example, that was September 30, 2017.
Your 20,000th day
It falls at about 54 years and 9 months old, a good day for a longevity test.
Your life in weeks
The grid shows each week as a dot, a row a year. Most of the dots are still ahead when you're young, and that's the point of drawing it.
Mistakes to avoid
These are the ways age sums go wrong.
- Subtracting years without checking whether the birthday has passed
- Counting a month as 30 days for a birthday (that's the test-manual method)
- Forgetting leap years when counting days
- Using the wrong date format (05/10 is May 10 in the US and October 5 elsewhere)
