An FAQ generator writes the questions and answers for a page: the questions people really ask about a topic, each answered in a line or two.

This free FAQ generator writes 10 questions for any topic, from the basic to the specific, each answered directly in its first sentence.

It also gives you the FAQ schema code to paste into your page.

Key takeaways

Type a topic and get 10 questions people search, each with a short, direct answer.
Copy them as Markdown, for Docs or WordPress, or as FAQ schema code.
Google stopped showing FAQ results in its search on May 7, 2026.
An FAQ still helps readers, and it's where my own posts answer what's left.

What is an FAQ generator?

An FAQ generator is a tool that writes a list of frequently asked questions and their answers for a topic, a product or a page.

A good FAQ answers what's left after the post: the quick question a reader has before they act.

How to use the FAQ generator

Write your FAQ0/5

A real example

Here's the Try example "How to start a newsletter". It wrote 10 questions, from the first step to keeping the list from shrinking. A few of them:

QuestionAnswer
Do I need a website before launching? No, you can begin with just an email service and a sign-up form.
How often should I send my newsletter?Start with a schedule you can keep, such as once a month.
Can I import contacts from social media?Only if those people have explicitly agreed to receive email from you.

Each answer starts with the answer, and the set read 100 out of 100 for sounding human. The schema code came with it, one click away.

What makes a good FAQ

The best FAQs read like a person answering, not a brochure:

  • Real questions – the ones people type, from the basic to the specific.
  • The answer first – the first sentence answers, the second adds the detail.
  • Short – 1 or 2 sentences each.
  • No sales lines – an FAQ that sells loses the reader's trust.

My own posts end with 8 to 12 of these, right above the closing section.

FAQ schema and Google in 2026

FAQ schema is code that marks up your questions and answers for search engines. It used to add a dropdown of questions under your result in Google.

That's over. Google's changelog says FAQ results would "no longer appear in Google Search starting May 7, 2026."

I still add the code, since it's a few lines and other tools may read it. Check yours with the schema markup validator, or make other types with the schema generator.

Who is the FAQ generator for?

It's for anyone answering what readers ask:

Write the questions here, then put them right above your closing section.

Questions about the FAQ generator? Here's what to know.

An FAQ generator is a tool that writes frequently asked questions and answers for a topic.

This one writes 10 at once and gives you the FAQ schema code.

I put 8 to 12 on my own posts.

Enough to cover what's left, few enough that each one gets read.

Near the end, right above the closing section.

Readers who still have a question find it before they leave.

The code does no harm, and other tools may still read it.
