Key takeaways
What is a coworking space?
A coworking space is a shared office you can join by the day, the week or the month. You get a desk, fast internet and somewhere to take calls, without signing a lease.
Most offer day passes, and many run events where you meet other people who work for themselves or remotely.
Who is the coworking space finder for?
It's for anyone who needs a desk away from home:
- Digital nomad locations – nomads choosing a base where they can work well
- Internet speed test – remote workers checking a desk's connection on day one
- Time zone overlap calculator – anyone who needs hours shared with a team at home
- VPNs compared – people who work on shared networks
A good desk makes a new city feel like home faster, and those tools cover the rest.

How to choose a coworking space
Here's what I check before I pay for more than a day:
- Try a day pass – most spaces sell one, and a day tells you more than the photos
- Test the internet – run a speed test at the desk, and check the upload for calls
- Check the hours – some close at 6 pm or on weekends, and a few are open around the clock
- Mind the commute – a space near where you stay gets used; one across town doesn't
- Look at the community – events and a shared kitchen are how you meet people
The finder shows each space's hours and website where the map has them.
Where the data comes from
The spaces come from OpenStreetMap: everything tagged as a coworking space within 15 km of each place, read 2026-09-30. OpenStreetMap's data is open under the ODbL, and the map credits its contributors.
A space shows only what the map holds: its name, where it is, and its hours and website when someone has added them. If a space is missing, anyone can add it on openstreetmap.org.
