This free citizenship by investment comparison puts every open citizenship by investment program side by side: what each asks, what the fees add, and what your budget covers.

Enter your budget. The comparison puts every program's minimum in your currency, marks the ones your budget covers, and opens each program's ways to qualify, fees and official pages.

Here's what citizenship by investment is, what each program costs, and what to check before you pay anyone.

What is citizenship by investment?

Citizenship by investment is a legal route to a country's citizenship, and its passport, in exchange for a donation to a government fund or an approved investment.

Unlike a golden visa, it gives you citizenship itself, usually within months and without living in the country. Every program checks where your money comes from before it approves you.

What each program asks

Here's the smallest contribution or investment for each open program, on September 27, 2026:

CountrySmallest routeCovers
NauruUS$90,000 contribution, a limited-time price until December 31, 2026The principal applicant, US$2,000 per dependant 16 or older
São Tomé and PríncipeUS$90,000 donation to the National Transformation FundOne applicant, or US$95,000 for a family of up to 4
DominicaUS$200,000 to the Economic Diversification FundOne applicant, or US$250,000 with up to 3 dependants
Antigua and BarbudaUS$230,000 to the National Development FundThe whole family, parents over 55 included
Saint LuciaUS$240,000 to the National Economic FundThe applicant with up to 3 dependants
Saint Kitts and NevisUS$250,000 Sustainable Island State ContributionThe applicant or a family of up to 4
TürkiyeUS$400,000 in real estate, held 3 yearsThe investor

Grenada's program is open, but its official site couldn't be read on September 27, 2026, so the comparison shows it without amounts. Argentina set out a procedure in July 2025, and its qualifying amounts aren't set yet.

What the fees add

The contribution is only part of the cost. Due diligence, processing and passport fees come on top, per person.

In Saint Kitts and Nevis, due diligence is US$10,000 for the main applicant and US$7,500 for each dependant 16 or older. In Antigua and Barbuda, a family of 4 pays US$20,000 in processing fees plus due diligence for each member. Dominica adds US$1,000 for each interview.

Open a program to see its fee list, and add it up for your own family.

Real estate or a donation

Most Caribbean programs take either a donation or approved real estate. The property route costs more up front, and you can sell it after the holding period:

CountryReal estateHold it
Antigua and BarbudaUS$300,0005 years
DominicaUS$200,000, plus government fees3 years after citizenship
Saint LuciaUS$300,000, plus administration feesNot stated on its page
Saint Kitts and NevisUS$325,000 with a developer7 years
TürkiyeUS$400,0003 years

Before you pay anyone

  • Check that your own country lets you keep its citizenship
  • Check what the new passport adds to yours with the second passport calculator
  • Add up every fee for your family, not only the contribution
  • Apply only through the government's licensed agents, and read the program's official page yourself

A passport doesn't change where you pay tax on its own. That depends on where you live, and your days there add up, which the 183-day rule calculator counts.

Money isn't evil. Money doesn't care about your country, skin color, or religion. It's the great equalizer.

How to use the citizenship by investment comparison

To see how any of these passports ranks, open the passport index. I wrote about why a second passport is one part of a bigger plan in what is a global citizen, and the rest of my writing on it is under global citizen.

Where the data comes from

Every program's facts come from its government's own page: the immigration office, the ministry, the consulate, or the program's official site. Each program lists those pages, with the date they were read.

Agent and law firm sites help find the official page, and are never the source. When a government page doesn't state a figure, the program shows no amount rather than a guess.

Amounts in your currency use the European Central Bank's daily reference rates, the official pegs of currencies like the UAE dirham and the Eastern Caribbean dollar, and Colombia's official peso rate, so they're close, not exact.

Rules change often, so check the official page before you apply. It's information, not legal, tax or immigration advice.

Who is the citizenship by investment comparison for?
