This free eSIM finder shows each eSIM store's cheapest plan for your trip, side by side, with the price per GB.

Pick where you're going, how many days and how much data. You'll see 11 stores next to each other, in dollars, with the plan, the network where the store names it, and the other plans that also fit:

  • Unlimited only – Holafly, Maya Mobile and Pangia Pass
  • Both – Nomad, Saily, Yesim, aloSIM, Truely and GigSky
  • Mostly data plans – Airalo and Roamless

How the eSIM finder picks a plan

For each store, it takes the cheapest plan that lasts at least your trip and has at least the data you need. An unlimited plan counts for any amount of data.

Each price is the store's own, read from its page for that country. The stores show prices in the visitor's currency, so each one is converted to dollars at the day's rate from the European Central Bank.

Unlimited or a data plan?

Holafly sells unlimited data only, for any trip from 1 to 90 days. Maya Mobile sells unlimited data only too, at one price in every country. Truely prices unlimited by the day, from 1 to 90 days. Airalo sells mostly data plans, up to 45 days, with unlimited plans in some countries, and Roamless sells 30-day data plans.

Unlimited doesn't always mean full speed all day. The finder shows each store's limit where it publishes one:

  • Saily – 5 GB a day at full speed, then slower
  • Truely – 5 GB a day at full speed, then 512 kbps
  • GigSky – 3.5 GB a day at full speed, then slower
  • Pangia Pass – no set cap, but streaming and video calls may slow with heavy use

A data plan is usually cheaper if you mostly use maps and messages. Unlimited costs more a day, but you never run out on a long trip or a video call.

Is an eSIM subscription worth it?

Pangia Pass works differently: one eSIM with unlimited data in 127 countries, for $35 a month or $324 a year, about $27 a month. It renews until you cancel, and you keep your own number for calls.

For a month of unlimited data, it was the cheapest here: $35 beat every other store's 30-day unlimited plan in 58 of these 60 countries.

If a set amount of data is enough, a plan for your trip costs less. 10 GB for 30 days was under $33 in every country here, and it doesn't renew.

Does my phone work with an eSIM?

Most recent phones do:

  • iPhone – Apple says eSIM works on "An iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later". In mainland China, only a few of the newest models support it.
  • Google Pixel – Google says a Pixel 3a or later can use a physical SIM and an eSIM together.
  • Samsung Galaxy – Samsung lists the Galaxy S20 and later S series, and its Fold and Flip phones, with some differences by country.

Check your own phone's settings too: if it offers to add an eSIM, it takes one.

eSIM FAQs

Questions about travel eSIMs? Here's what to know.

An eSIM is a SIM built into your phone, so you add a data plan by scanning a code instead of inserting a card.

You can keep your home SIM on and add a travel eSIM for data.

It depends on the country, the days and the data: the finder compares them for your trip.

For 5 GB over a week in Thailand, the cheapest was GigSky at $6.20 when read.

Holafly sells unlimited data plans only, from 1 to 90 days.

Check its page for the country for any limits on sharing data with other devices.

Apple says an iPhone XS, XS Max, XR or later works, and Google says a Pixel 3a or later does.

Samsung lists the Galaxy S20 and later, and its Fold and Flip phones.

Yes: most phones take a physical SIM and an eSIM at once, so your number stays on while the eSIM handles data.

Yes: Pangia Pass is one eSIM with unlimited data in 127 countries, for $35 a month or $324 a year.

It renews until you cancel, and for a month of unlimited data it cost less than other stores' 30-day unlimited plans in most countries here.

Each store shows prices in the visitor's currency, so the finder keeps the price it read and converts it to dollars at the ECB's rate of the day.
