These are estimates from your numbers, not YouTube's. Real earnings move with where viewers live, the season, advertiser demand and YouTube Premium. Views from a link are the public counts of a channel's latest uploads.

This free YouTube money calculator shows what a YouTube channel or video earns from ads.

Paste a channel or a video and it reads the real views of its latest uploads, with Shorts and long videos apart. Add your RPM and you get the money a day, a month and a year.

Here's how YouTube pays creators, where to find your RPM, and how to estimate any channel's earnings.

What is a YouTube money calculator?

A YouTube money calculator is a tool that estimates what YouTube views earn from ads, by multiplying the views by an RPM.

RPM means revenue per 1,000 views: what the creator keeps for every 1,000 views, after YouTube's share.

How to use the YouTube money calculator

Estimate YouTube earnings0/4

No RPM yet? The calculator shows the same views at 4 RPMs, so you see the range before you look yours up.

How YouTube pays creators

YouTube shares the money from ads with creators in the YouTube Partner Program. The shares are YouTube's own, from its help page on partner earnings (read September 26, 2026):

Where the ad runsThe creator's share
Long videos, on the watch page55% of the net ad revenue
Shorts, in the Shorts feed45% of the revenue a creator is allocated from the Shorts Creator Pool

A Short with music pays the music's owners first. With 1 track, half of that Short's revenue goes to music licensing, per YouTube's Shorts rules.

Where to find your RPM

Your RPM is in YouTube Studio, under Analytics and then Revenue.

It moves with where your viewers live, your niche, the time of year and how many of your views show an ad. That's why this calculator asks for yours instead of guessing it.

RPM or CPM?

CPM is what advertisers pay for 1,000 ads, before YouTube's share. RPM is what you keep per 1,000 views, after it, counting the views that show no ad.

Know your CPM but not your RPM? Pick CPM, add the share of your views that show an ad, and the calculator works out the RPM with YouTube's share.

Estimate any channel's earnings

Paste any public channel and the calculator reads the views of its latest uploads from YouTube's public feed.

It splits long videos from Shorts, since the two earn at very different rates. The views a day come from the latest uploads only, so a channel with a big back catalog earns more than this shows.

Paste a single video and you also see what that video has earned so far at your RPM.

Plan a goal

Pick Plan a goal, type what you want to earn a day, a month or a year, and add your RPM. You get the views a day and a month it takes.

Ads are only part of it

Ads are one income stream. Sponsorships, affiliate links, memberships and your own products can earn more than ads.
