A free audiogram generator that turns a podcast clip into a video with your words, a moving waveform and your cover art, in your browser.
Drop a clip of your podcast, and get a video with your words lit as they're said, a moving waveform and your show's name, ready for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X. It all happens in this browser.
Add your audio
Whisper doesn't tell speakers apart, and it can mishear names, so read the captions before you make the video. The sound stays on your computer unless you pick On our server.
This free audiogram generator turns a clip of your podcast into a video with a moving waveform, your title and captions, in your browser.
Pick a shape for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn or X, a background or your own picture, and a caption look. Nothing is uploaded, and there's no watermark.
Here's how to make one, and what makes a clip worth posting.
What is an audiogram?
An audiogram is a short video made from audio: a still picture or color, a waveform that moves with the voice, and usually captions. It's how podcasts post clips on apps built for video.
This one writes the captions with Whisper on your device, and draws every frame in your browser.
Pick the clip
Set the start and the end on the file: the clip can run up to 10 minutes. The preview plays it with the waveform and the captions, the way the video will.
A clip that makes one point, start to finish, stands on its own in a feed. Start on the sentence that makes someone stop.
Four shapes
| Shape | Size | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Square 1:1 | 1080 x 1080 | Feeds on Instagram, LinkedIn and X |
| Portrait 4:5 | 1080 x 1350 | Instagram and LinkedIn feeds |
| Vertical 9:16 | 1080 x 1920 | Reels, TikTok and Shorts |
| Landscape 16:9 | 1920 x 1080 | YouTube |
Fix the words first
Whisper writes what it hears, and it can mishear a name or a brand. Every caption is listed with its time: click one, fix it, and click away.
The fixed words keep their place in time, so the colored word still moves with the speech.
Five caption looks
| Look | What it does | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Bold | Heavy letters with an outline, the word being said in color | TikTok, Reels and Shorts |
| Box | Plain letters on a dark box | Talking heads, busy backgrounds |
| Karaoke | Words change color as they're said | Songs, quotes, slow speech |
| Clean | Plain letters with a soft shadow | LinkedIn, interviews |
| One word at a time | Each word alone, big | Fast, punchy clips |
Pick the font, the size, the height and the color of the word being said. The preview plays with the sound, so you see each word land.
Three layouts
| Layout | What it shows | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Transcript | Your words, big, each lit as it's said | A quote worth reading |
| Cover | Your cover art over a soft copy of itself, with captions | Your show's look |
| Circle | Your picture in a circle, ringed by the waveform | A guest's face |
Your colors, your fonts
Eight themes, each dark or light, set the frame's colors. Pick a font from the list, or type the name of any Google font.
Add your show's name and the speaker's, and a progress bar along the bottom if you like.
Your picture
Use your show's cover or a photo of the guest, free. In the transcript layout it fills the frame, darkened so the words stay readable; in the others it's the cover art.
Nothing is uploaded
On this device, the audio never leaves your computer. For the captions of a long file, On our server writes the words in seconds and doesn't keep the sound.
After you make it
Post it with a line from the clip. For a full episode as a video for YouTube, use the audio to video converter.
