Views are YouTube's public counts when the list was made. Each niche follows the channels its searches find. A channel's usual is the median views of its latest uploads, long videos and Shorts apart, from its public feed, leaving out uploads under 2 weeks old and the ones being measured. A video needs 2× its channel's usual, at least 10,000 views (50,000 for a Short) and a title that names the niche, and a channel shows at most 2.
These free AI YouTube outliers are the videos about AI from the past 2 weeks that got far more views than their channel usually gets.
The list is made fresh every day. It follows the channels YouTube ranks for 8 AI searches, plus creators I track, like Matt Wolfe, Liam Ottley, Nate Herk and Riley Brown. For every niche together, see the YouTube outliers.
What counts as an AI video
A video counts when its title names AI, with one of these words:
| Kind | Words |
|---|---|
| The field | ai, a.i., artificial intelligence, machine learning, llm |
| Assistants | chatgpt, gpt, openai, claude, gemini, grok, perplexity, deepseek, copilot |
| Automation | agent, agents, automation, automate, n8n |
| Building | cursor, vibe coding, prompt, prompts |
| Images and video | midjourney |
The channels come from these searches, run every day: ai tools, chatgpt tutorial, ai agents, ai automation, claude code, ai for business, ai video generator, make money with ai.
Why AI outliers move fast
AI moves faster than any other niche on YouTube. A new model or tool can pull a small channel's video to 10 or 20 times its usual views within days, and a week later the same topic is crowded.
That's why the list holds only the past 2 weeks, and why the 7-day view is worth a look first. Read each outlier by the kind of video it is:
- A launch. A new model or feature. The topic is hot now: cover it within days, or leave it.
- A tutorial. How to build or automate something. It keeps working for months, so it's the safer topic for your own version.
- A roundup. "6 AI tools for…" shows which tools people want to hear about right now.

How the multiple is worked out
Each video's multiple is its views over its channel's usual: the median views of the channel's latest uploads, long videos and Shorts apart, leaving out the ones being measured.
A video needs 2× that usual, at least 10,000 views (50,000 for a Short) on a channel that usually gets 1,000 or more, and a channel shows at most 2. The YouTube outliers page explains each bar.
