Views are YouTube's public counts when the list was made. Each niche follows the channels its searches find. A channel's usual is the median views of its latest uploads, long videos and Shorts apart, from its public feed, leaving out uploads under 2 weeks old and the ones being measured. A video needs 2× its channel's usual, at least 10,000 views (50,000 for a Short) and a title that names the niche, and a channel shows at most 2.

These free business YouTube outliers are the videos about business from the past 2 weeks that got far more views than their channel usually gets.

The list is made fresh every day. It follows the channels YouTube ranks for 8 business searches, plus creators I track, like Alex Hormozi, The Diary Of A CEO, Dan Martell and My First Million. For every niche together, see the YouTube outliers.

What counts as a business video

A video counts when its title names business, with one of these words:

KindWords
Businessbusiness, businesses, company, brand, ceo, founder
Startingentrepreneur, entrepreneurs, startup, startups, side hustle, side hustles
Selling onlineecommerce, e-commerce, shopify, dropshipping
Servicesagency, freelance, freelancing, clients, customers, sales
Money madeprofit, revenue

The channels come from these searches, run every day: online business, entrepreneur, side hustle, small business tips, how to start a business, ecommerce, business ideas, dropshipping.

What a business outlier tells you

Business videos pull views beyond their channel when they make a clear promise to a clear person. Read each outlier for 3 things:

  • The promise. More money, more time, or less risk? "Start a business before it's too late" promises something different from "the easiest side hustle for beginners".
  • The person. A beginner with no money, a freelancer, a founder with a team? The title usually says.
  • The proof. A number, a case, a before and after. Outliers show their proof in the title or the first seconds.

Shorts from business creators often beat their usual too. Filter by Shorts to see which ideas work in under a minute.

How the multiple is worked out

Each video's multiple is its views over its channel's usual: the median views of the channel's latest uploads, long videos and Shorts apart, leaving out the ones being measured.

A video needs 2× that usual, at least 10,000 views (50,000 for a Short) on a channel that usually gets 1,000 or more, and a channel shows at most 2. The YouTube outliers page explains each bar.
