What to share
Your share links
Your links show here.
This free share link generator turns one text and one link into share links for X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, WhatsApp and 7 more platforms.
Each link is built from the platform's own docs, and it tells you what each platform drops. It also reads your page and shows the preview card people will see.
Here's what a share link is, what each platform's link can carry, and how to tag every link so you know which one sent the visit.
What is a share link generator?
A share link generator is a tool that makes links which open a platform's post box with your text and link already in it.
Put one behind a button on your site, in an email or in a bio, and a reader shares your page in 2 taps.
How to make share links
Press Open on any link to test it. It opens the platform's own post box, and nothing posts until you press its button.
What each platform's share link carries
Not every platform takes your text. This is what each one's link can carry, read from its own page on September 26, 2026:
- Takes
- Text and a link
- Good to know
- The link counts as 23 characters, whatever its length
- Takes
- The link only
- Good to know
- LinkedIn builds the post from your page's preview card
- Takes
- Text, a link, a topic tag

Hacker News takes a link and a title, and email takes a subject and the text.
The picture comes from your page
A share link can't carry a picture. The picture people see is your page's preview card, which each platform reads from the page's Open Graph tags.
So the tool reads your page the same way and shows the card before you share. If the page has no og:image tag, it says so, because the post would show a plain link.
Tag each link to see which platform sent the visit
Tick the Google Analytics box and each link gets its own UTM tags: X's link says X, WhatsApp's says WhatsApp.
The tags follow GA4's own rules, so each visit lands in the right channel. The same rules run the free UTM builder.
Share buttons for your site
Copy as HTML links gives you plain links with the words "Share on X", "Share on LinkedIn" and so on. They need no script and no plugin, so they load nothing and track nobody.
Style them like the rest of your site, or put them under each post.
LinkedIn's text box
LinkedIn's documented share button takes the link only. LinkedIn has a second address that opens the post box with your text in it.
It worked when I tested it on September 26, 2026, but LinkedIn doesn't document it, so it could stop working. It's off unless you tick the box.
Where the addresses come from
X, Threads, Bluesky, Telegram, Pinterest and Hacker News publish their share addresses, and I read each one on September 26, 2026. LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, Reddit and Mastodon don't document theirs the same way, so I opened each one in a signed-in browser that day to see what it does.
The code is open: every address has its source and the date it was checked.

Share Link Generator FAQs
Questions about share links? Here's what to know.
A share link generator is a tool that turns a text and a link into links that open each platform's post box with them already in it. This share link generator makes them for X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Facebook, WhatsApp, Telegram, Reddit, Pinterest, Hacker News, Mastodon and email.
To make a share link, type your text, paste your link and copy the link for the platform you want. The share link generator builds every platform's link as you type, and each Open button tests it.
LinkedIn's share button takes the link only, so LinkedIn ignores any text in a share link. The post shows your page's preview card, and the reader writes their own words. An address that fills in the text exists, but LinkedIn doesn't document it.
A share link can't include a picture, except Pinterest's, which takes the picture's link. The picture people see is your page's preview card, which the platform reads from the og:image tag on your page.
A link shows no preview when its page has no Open Graph tags, or when the platform can't read the page. The share link generator reads your page the same way and says which tag is missing.
The share links track nobody: they're plain addresses with no script. If you tick the Google Analytics box, each link carries UTM tags, so your own analytics shows which platform sent each visit.
The share links use the addresses each platform documents, so they should keep working. LinkedIn's text box address is the exception: it isn't documented, so it's off unless you choose it.
No, a share link only opens the platform's post box with the words in it. Nothing posts until the reader presses the platform's own button.
The share link generator is for creators, bloggers, founders and marketers who want readers to share a page, a product, a newsletter or an event in 2 taps.
For X alone, the X (Twitter) intent generator makes reply, repost, like and follow links too. The click to tweet generator makes a quote box for a blog post, and the UTM builder and QR code generator tag and print your links.
