What is an audio recorder?
An audio recorder records sound from your microphone into a file you can keep, edit or publish.

Markers
Press M, or click Add a marker, at any moment: a great answer, a mistake to cut, the start of a new topic. Each marker keeps its time.
After you stop, copy them as a list, like 12:04 Marker 3, to find each moment in your editor.
Trim and save
Drag the start and end to cut the silence before and after. Then save:

Your browser records in its own format, usually M4A in Chrome, Edge and Safari and WebM in Firefox. MP3 and WAV are made in your browser from that.
After you record
For a podcast, make the final MP3 at Apple's bit rates with loudness levelled to -16 LUFS in the audio converter. To record your screen too, use the screen recorder.
