Question 1

What is a Threads character counter?

Accepted Answer

A Threads character counter is a tool that counts your post against Threads' 500-character limit as you type.

Threads counts the characters you see, so an emoji or a flag is 1, and a link counts at its full length.

What is the Threads character limit?

Accepted Answer

The Threads character limit is 500 characters per post, according to the Instagram Help Center. Past 500, Threads adds another post to your thread.

Accepted Answer

No, the Threads limit is 500 characters and X's is 280, so a full Threads post needs 2 posts on X. The X tab splits it for you.
