This free video summarizer gives you the key points of a public video from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn or Pinterest.

Paste any link and it reads what's said, then writes a short summary with the time next to every point. Press a time and the video plays from there.

Here's how to summarize a video from any platform, and what you get.

What is a video summarizer?

A video summarizer is a tool that turns what's said in a video into a short summary: the main idea, and the points worth knowing.

This one works on 7 platforms. YouTube videos are read from their captions; videos from the other 6 are turned into text from their speech first.

YouTube videos can be any length. The others are read from their sound, which the free tool does for videos up to 5 minutes.

What you get

Every summary has a TL;DR, the key points in the order they're said, chapters, and the full transcript.

Each key point has the time it's said, so you can check it in the speaker's own words before you use it.

Summarize it your way with your own AI

Pick what you want from the Ask your AI to menu, like 5 X posts or a newsletter, and press your AI. The transcript goes with the ask, in your own ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Perplexity, so it's free.

For every word instead, use the video transcript generator.

Who is the video summarizer for?
