Where the list comes from
The disposable-email-domains project on GitHub keeps an open list of throwaway domains, dedicated to the public domain (CC0). It was read on September 27, 2026: 8,985 domains.
Typo-squat domains are on it too: gmial.com, a slip for gmail.com, is listed.
New throwaway domains appear all the time, so no list is complete. A domain that isn't listed isn't proof of a real mailbox.
