This free YouTube podcast charts tool shows YouTube's top 100 podcasts in the US, ranked by watch time, week by week.

It reads YouTube's own chart and keeps every week of it. So each show carries its move since last week, its weeks on the chart and its best place.

Here's how YouTube ranks podcasts, what counts as a podcast on YouTube, and why its chart looks so different from Apple's and Spotify's.

Key takeaways

You can use this YouTube podcast charts tool to inspect the top 100 US podcasts ranked by weekly watch time.
Rankings depend on minutes watched on designated podcast playlists rather than total channel views or subscriber counts.
YouTube publishes this ranking for the US only, but it plans to expand the chart data to more regions.
Unlike YouTube's page that shows one week, this tool keeps weekly history to show position changes, weeks charted and best ranks.

What is the YouTube podcast chart?

The YouTube podcast chart is YouTube's weekly ranking of the top 100 podcast shows in the US, by watch time.

YouTube launched it on May 15, 2025, at charts.youtube.com/podcasts.

How YouTube ranks podcasts

YouTube's blog (May 15, 2025) sets out the rules in two sentences:

  • Watch time, weekly – "Every Wednesday, the Weekly Top Podcast Shows chart is updated with podcast shows ranked by watchtime."
  • Podcasts only – "Generally, charts will include playlists that are designated as "podcasts" by the creator in the upload process, and will not include playlists that contain only clips or Shorts."

So views don't decide it, and neither do subscribers. Minutes watched on podcast playlists do.

US only

YouTube publishes its podcast chart for the US only. Asking its chart data for the UK, Germany, Brazil or India returns nothing (checked September 27, 2026).

YouTube's blog says it's expanding the charts to more regions. This tool will add them when YouTube does.

Why YouTube's chart looks different

Watch time rewards long video shows. On the week ending September 20, 2026:

  • Financial Audit – #1 on YouTube, #32 on Spotify and #139 on Apple Podcasts.
  • The Diary Of A CEO – #2 on YouTube, #10 on Spotify, #50 on Apple Podcasts.
  • The Daily – #1 on Apple Podcasts, not in YouTube's top 100.

Audio-first shows often have no full episodes on YouTube at all, so they can't chart there.

How to get your podcast on YouTube's chart

YouTube's chart counts playlists set as podcasts. YouTube Help gives the steps:

  1. In YouTube Studio, open Content, then Playlists
  2. Hover over the playlist of your full episodes, open its menu and pick Set as podcast
  3. Add a square podcast thumbnail, check the details and click Done

Keep full episodes in it: a playlist of only clips or Shorts doesn't count. Then watch time decides your place.

What the tool adds

YouTube's chart page shows this week only. This tool keeps each week's chart, from the week ending September 20, 2026, so each show carries:

  • Its move – up or down since last week, or new.
  • Weeks on the chart – how many weeks it has been in the top 100.
  • Its best place – the highest it has reached.

See YouTube next to Apple Podcasts and Spotify on the top podcasts page. And check one show everywhere with the podcast rank checker.

Who is the YouTube podcast charts for?
