Where these numbers come from
This free Facebook money calculator works out what your page earns a month and a year from views, Stars and brand deals.
Enter your views and your own RPM, the Stars fans send you, and your rate per sponsored post.
Here's how Facebook pays creators, why the calculator asks for your own RPM, and how payouts work.
What is a Facebook money calculator?
A Facebook money calculator adds up what your page earns from each way Facebook pays creators.
It works out your views at your own RPM, counts Stars at Meta's 1 cent each, and adds your brand deals.
Who is the Facebook money calculator for?
It's for creators and pages planning their income on Facebook:
- Instagram money calculator – creators sharing the same reels on Instagram.
- YouTube money calculator – creators posting long videos to YouTube too.
- Engagement rate calculator – creators pricing brand deals.
- How to make money online – anyone weighing Facebook against other ways to earn.
It runs in your browser, and nothing you enter leaves your device.
How to use the Facebook money calculator
How Facebook pays creators
- Views – Facebook doesn't publish what it pays per view, so the calculator uses your own RPM: what you earned divided by your views, times 1,000.
- Stars – from Meta's own page: "For every Star you receive from a fan, you earn 1 cent from Meta."
- Brand deals – your own rate, paid by the brand.
Payouts come once a month after you reach the minimum balance, which Meta's payouts page lists for each payment method.
An example
800,000 views a month at a $0.40 RPM, 15,000 Stars and 1 sponsored post at $300:
- Views: $320.
- Stars: $150.
- Brand deal: $300.
That's $770 a month.
Grow what you earn
- Ask for Stars on live videos and reels, where fans can send them.
- Share your reels to Instagram too, and check them with the Instagram money calculator.
- Make shareable images for your page with the post image generator.
