What is a transparent video?
A transparent video has no background: only the person, over whatever sits behind it.
Use it for a talking head over a screen recording, a presenter over slides, or yourself on a web page.

A WebM video with a transparent background, VP9 with an alpha channel, at your video's own size.
Chrome and Edge play it see-through, so it can go straight onto a web page.
Check that your video editor opens WebM with transparency before you plan around it. If it doesn't, key out the green with the green screen video tool instead.
See-through, done frame by frame
A see-through video shows every edge, so this is the look that has to be right.
Each frame is checked against the next, so an edge that flips for one frame is put back. The old background's tint comes out of your hair.

The first time, your browser downloads the AI model once, 88 MB, and keeps it. It runs on your graphics chip where your browser allows it.
Formats, sizes and length
You can drop MP4, MOV and WebM videos that your browser can play. The new video keeps your video's size, up to 4K, and a bigger video comes out at 4K.
Each video can be up to 5 minutes. For a longer one, you pick a start and an end, and you can do the next part after.
What it still gets wrong
It's made for people on camera: talking heads, presenters and creators. A product, a pet or a car won't come out cleanly, and for a photo of one there's the image background remover.
A hand waving fast is blurred in the video itself, so its see-through edge is soft.
