This free book finder has my list of the best books to read, in 1 place you can search.
Search it by what you want to learn. "Build better habits" finds Atomic Habits first, even when your words aren't in the title.
Then narrow it by topic, author or length, look at my picks, and read my summary of the books I've written up.
Here's what the book finder is, how to use it, and where to start.
What is a book finder?
A book finder is a search for your next book. You describe what you want to learn or fix, and it brings back the books that are about that.
This one searches by meaning, so "money when you're starting out" finds books on saving, investing and first businesses, whatever words their titles use.
How to find your next book
Every book shows its cover, its author and 1 line on what it's about. The ones I've summarized have a Read summary link.
My picks
My picks are the books I'd hand a friend first, the ones that changed how I work and live. They come first on the list, and the My picks tab shows only them.
Some links are affiliate links, so I may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.
Book summaries
For some books I've written a summary: the main ideas, who the book is for, and what to take from it. Read summary opens it on its own page, so you can decide before you buy.
Books by topic
The Topics tab lists every topic with how many books it has, from business and self-improvement to health, marketing, psychology, productivity, finance and relationships.
Who is the book finder for?
It's for anyone who wants the next book to be the right one:
- Book finder – finding the book first, by what you want to learn
- Reading speed test – knowing how fast you read
- How many books can I read in a year – planning your reading year
- Quote finder – finding the lines worth keeping from what you read
More tools are on my free tools page.
Final thoughts on finding your next book
The best book to read next is the one that answers the question you have right now. Start with that question in the search, and let the list do the rest.
