This converter's JPGs were 23% to 52% smaller than CloudConvert's, and scored 2.2 to 6.6 points lower. Every one scored over 80, the same side by side at 100%.
How I tested
I tested on September 29, 2026. I saved 3 pictures as AVIF: the 29-megapixel golden retriever photo, Kodak test photo 23 and the PNG transparency demonstration from Wikimedia Commons.
The score is SSIMULACRA 2, a metric from Cloudinary that compares two pictures the way your eye does:
