Question 1

What is a PNG to SVG converter?

Accepted Answer

A PNG to SVG converter traces the colors in your PNG into vector shapes, so the picture stays sharp at any size.

This one does it in your browser.

Question 2

How do I convert PNG to SVG?

Accepted Answer

Drop your PNG here, pick what's in it, and click Convert to SVG.

Then download the SVG, or copy its code.

Question 3

Is the SVG real vector shapes?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's shapes, not your PNG wrapped in an SVG file.

It scales to any size and opens in any design app.

Question 4

Which pictures work best?

Accepted Answer

Logos, icons, stickers, line art and scans, with a few flat colors.

A photo turns into a poster of color shapes.

Question 5

Can I remove the background?

Accepted Answer

Yes, pick Remove it, and a logo's background color is left out everywhere, inside letters too.

White parts of a logo on a white background go with it, since they're the same color.

Question 6

How many colors will my SVG have?

Accepted Answer

Its own colors by default: the converter finds the few your picture really has.

Pick a number under Colors for fewer shapes and a smaller file.

Question 7

Is this PNG to SVG converter free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it's free, with no account and no limit.

It runs in your browser, so it costs nothing to run.

Question 8

Are my pictures uploaded?

Accepted Answer

No, the PNG to SVG converter works in your browser.

Your pictures never leave your computer.

Question 9

Who made the PNG to SVG converter?

Accepted Answer

I'm Navid Moazzez, and the PNG to SVG converter is one of my free tools on navid.me.
