When to convert SVG to PNG

Both drew the same pictures at the same sizes, and this converter's PNGs were 49% to 83% smaller, with every pixel kept. CloudConvert draws with Inkscape, and this page with your browser.
Side by side, they only differ in the logo's text, which Chrome set slightly wider. Against resvg, a third renderer, CloudConvert's came closer, mostly in how text and thin lines are smoothed.
How I tested
I tested on September 29, 2026, with 3 SVGs: a sample logo with real text in it, the public domain world map from Wikimedia Commons, styled with CSS, and a camera icon from Lucide.
A score against another renderer shows how alike two drawings are, not which is better. So the table shows each PNG's size.
