What is a transparent background maker?
A transparent background maker takes the background out of an image and leaves only the subject, on nothing at all.
You get a transparent PNG. Put it on a slide, a website, a product page or a new photo, and whatever is behind it shows through.
Photo, or logo or graphic?
These are two different jobs, so the tool does them two ways.
Photo is for people, pets, products and anything shot with a camera. Three AI models find the subject, redraw the hair and fit the edge to every pixel.
Logo or graphic is for anything drawn on one flat color: a logo, an icon, a drawing or a scan. No AI model: it finds the background's color and works out every pixel's share of ink.
AI models are made for photos. On a logo, they drop thin lines and fill in the holes in letters. Here's how far each cutout was from the see-through original:

Why PNG
A JPG can't hold a see-through background: it always fills it with a color. So the download is a PNG, which keeps it.
WebP can hold one too, and it's smaller. Convert the PNG with my PNG to WebP converter if your site takes WebP.
Full size, and how close it gets on photos
Your image comes back at every pixel you put in, up to 50 megapixels. There's no small free preview and no credits.
On photos, I scored it against cutouts made by hand, along the subject's edge. It was closer than remove.bg's free result on 21 of 24 everyday photos.

How the photo mode works
It runs three AI models in your browser, then fits the result to your photo:

| Keep what you hold | A second model, trained on people, adds back an arm or a hand holding a camera |
| Hair and fur | A third model redraws only the soft parts: hair, fur and see-through edges |
| Full size | The cutout is fitted to every pixel of your photo, along the photo's own edges |
| Clean colors | The old background's tint comes out of the edges, so hair doesn't carry a green wall onto a white page |
The first time, your browser downloads the AI models once, 256 MB, and keeps them. Logo or graphic needs no download at all.
What it still gets wrong
These are the images it finds hardest:
- See-through things – glass and water are the hardest for any background remover.
- A logo on a busy background – Logo or graphic needs a plain background around it. For a logo in a photo, use Photo.
- Parts the same color as the background – white text on a white background goes see-through too.
Touch up fixes any of these by hand: paint with Restore to bring back what it missed, or Erase to clear what it kept.
